You will start to enjoy playing the piano both during the class and outside of the time of the class. You will learn how to be able to perform in a way which inspires your audience. I will teach you the basic music theory without going way deep into the theory because this is a performance class but you will learn what you need to excel your performance. Additionally, I will teach you the principles of aesthetics of playing the piano. The repertoire that I focus on is mostly the Western modern and Classical music, but we can also work on some famous Persian and Turkish pieces if you like. Of course, you are also always welcome to bring your favorite pieces to the class.

The Suzuki Method was created by the Japanese violinist Shinichi Suzuki. It is internationally used to teach music to children from age 3. It is based on the idea that if any child can speak his mother tongue perfectly he can also develop his musical talent when he has a supportive environment. Therefore the pupil's parents are actively involved in the learning process attending the lessons and helping their child in daily home practice. Under Suzuki's Philosophy, learning how to play an instrument is much more than acquiring music knowledge. It is about learning values and long life skills that will help children to develop their full potential. Therefore, parents, pupils and teachers enjoy together this fascinating trip from the first stages. The teacher - Eduard. I'm a freelance violinist based in Amsterdam playing in different orchestras and chamber music groups. It is my passion to share with my students and parents the joy of making music and learning and instrument. For me playing an instrument it is much more than just that: it is a way to develop ourselves as a person. It is my intention to create a Violin class with a high standard in a great musical environment. The commitment for daily practice is the only requirement to become my student. I perform often for children like in Teatro Munganga and Amsterdam Baby Concerts. I studied violin in the Conservatories of Barcelona and Utrecht and the Suzuki Method at the Accademia Filarmonica in Utrecht. I am currently following a Postgraduate about the Suzuki Method in the Conservatory of Antwerpen and researching how the principles of thw Alexander Technique can be applied to a violin lesson from the early beggining. I'm also specialized in body and mind work for musicians(as Alexander technique teacher).I'm a member of the Suzuki Vereniging Nederland.
I am a professional bass trombonist, I have been teaching for over 5 years from beginners to college level. I am from the United States where I have taught private and large group lessons. I am currently a Masters student at the CvA and teach tenor, bass, and contrabass trombone. Through my experience I have found it crucial to start lessons with setting goals for each student; from simply enjoying to advance your skills to competitions or college auditions. Just like any art that you wish to learn, practicing is a vital part to succeed, therefore starting with fundamentals and slowly advancing our techniques into repertoire is a very personal experience and we all learn at different rates. With this one on one lesson each student has the convenience of setting personal goals, taking different routes to succeed, and overall enjoying the interaction between teacher and student. I always like to begin lessons with a trial lesson, normally lasting around 30 minutes. This will allow me to learn more about the student and their aspirations. Likewise the student will learn about my teaching methods and the structure of the lessons. I'd be more than glad to share more information about my experience and educational background. I am fluent in English and Spanish.

Trusted teacher: // Content of the class // I want to enable my pupils to speak French in their everyday life: what's the point of learning a language if you only know academic sentences? Moreover, I wish to make the students discover a little bit more about French culture: I personally love music, cinema and art and I would love to share these passions! Of course if you already have a good level in French we will focus on Grammar and use advanced teaching materials: the main word to remember is adaptation! // About me // I am a native French speaker, wiling to make the best of my free time during my Exchange year at the Universiteit van Amsterdam.
