Trusted teacher: From my childhood I have been studying music and art: sang in choir and solo, played piano, painted, studied music history and literature, solfeggio. Later in college I have also learned choir conducting, had ensemble and choir singing lessons, cultural studies. During last year in university I had pedagogy practice at university and at private art school (where I worked as a music tutor before the war - piano, voice). I truly enjoyed working with students. They all were different age (8 - 40+ years old) and level. But all were very interesting and work was pleasant. My education was very various: my core subjects were conducting, choir, voice, piano. So it allowed me to work with children, teens and adults with quite wide range of interests and needs: some students needed/wanted to learn particular composition(s), sometimes pop songs arrangements, some were interested in “introduction” to the music, some wanted to renew skills they gained in their childhood and continue their journey to the music world. In addition I prepared presentations (which contained information about cultural and historical background and musical and character/art analysis). So after graduation from choir conducting faculty (which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in many important compatible branches) I concentrated on studying classical singing and piano, expanded my cultural studies and analysis knowledge, practiced solfeggio and harmony.

Trusted teacher: My name is Margareta, I am an opera singer, voice therapist and voice-over artist. In addition to my master's degree in music, I trained as a voice therapist and also completed advanced training in the Alexander technique, accent method and osteopathic techniques in voice therapy. So my life revolves around the voice. On the one hand I offer classical singing lessons (opera, operetta, lie, musical, rock and pop) and on the other hand voice therapy and voice training to prevent voice disorders and hoarseness. My main concern is not to work according to a specific method, but to work holistically and thoroughly on each voice individually in order to develop the full vocal potential. Singing lessons are all about good singing technique, language coaching and assistance for more charisma and presence on stage. Through a trained training of the body and the voice you will achieve a high level of resilience and sing at the highest level with a healthy, authentic and unique voice. This is how you become your own microphone! The most important thing: The lessons thrive on individuality and are specifically tailored to your needs and goals!

Do you want to build a strong foundation and learn how to apply your knowledge to be able to play in a group setting or learn purely for leisure? I offer drumming lessons catered to your needs and pace. I have played in many different settings in South Africa and Hong Kong and have worked with many different musicians. Having the ability to adapt to different people and ways of doing things would have been a challenge without technical, theory and listening skills. We will cover everything from basics to being able to work out parts to your favourite songs. I am extremely patient and ready to help you excel. The most important thing is that you have fun doing it. Yes, there will be some challenges, but rest assured that nobody you see performing got there instantly. My motto when teaching music: learn with your ear before you understand it with your brain. Music can be explained theoretically as it is traditionally taught in classical music schools. However, I am convinced that the best approach is to learn the music, to feel it and sing it, before theoretically understanding it and interpreting it. I've been playing the piano for over 30 years. I studied classical music for 10 years and jazz for 3 years. I have played in various formations including: classical music, jazz, blues, rock, pop, cabaret, flamenco, latin music, arabic music and electronic music. I have developed a method to learn music theory in an intuitive way. Not only can I show you how to read sheet music, but also how to analyze a piece of music from any genre, how to interpret chords and how to improvise in a simple and effective way. I also compose and can give you tools to improve your compositional skills. -------------------------------------------------------- My motto for teaching music: Learn with your ear, before understanding it with your brain. With our tutoring, the student will reach independence: theory, practice, and active listening go hand in hand. For efficient practice, we will start building solid foundations from a good understanding of voice physiology, breathing, resonance, and phonetics. I believe that healthy singing requires the whole body to be present, so we will also work on your body awareness and mindfulness. Singing lessons can also be very helpful for those who use their voice as a tool for their work, like teachers, speakers, actors, and dubbing artists. I also teach classes for non-professional music lovers who are seeking a form of artistic expression and personal discovery.
