Trusted teacher: From my childhood I have been studying music and art: sang in choir and solo, played piano, painted, studied music history and literature, solfeggio. Later in college I have also learned choir conducting, had ensemble and choir singing lessons, cultural studies. During last year in university I had pedagogy practice at university and at private art school (where I worked as a music tutor before the war - piano, voice). I truly enjoyed working with students. They all were different age (8 - 40+ years old) and level. But all were very interesting and work was pleasant. My education was very various: my core subjects were conducting, choir, voice, piano. So it allowed me to work with children, teens and adults with quite wide range of interests and needs: some students needed/wanted to learn particular composition(s), sometimes pop songs arrangements, some were interested in “introduction” to the music, some wanted to renew skills they gained in their childhood and continue their journey to the music world. In addition I prepared presentations (which contained information about cultural and historical background and musical and character/art analysis). So after graduation from choir conducting faculty (which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in many important compatible branches) I concentrated on studying classical singing and piano, expanded my cultural studies and analysis knowledge, practiced solfeggio and harmony.

RGT is an UK-based music teaching organisation and offers a wide range of internationally recognized exams, in partnership with London College of Music Exams (one of the world's most respected music examination boards, established since 1887) and certificated by the University of West London. If anyone considers taking up the guitar exams and become a qualified guitarist, I can back you up. Any styles, pop/rock/blues/jazz/funk/classical guitar etc. Whatever songs/riffs/comps/(16th note) strumming patterns (lead guitar/rhythm guitar) harmony and music theory, solfeggio(aural) and so on. Lessons will be tailored to you. it's not brain surgery. it's going to be a lot of fun! I can travel to your house or you come to my place. Also Skype lesson would be available. I have been teaching piano to children and adults for 9 years with success in a variety of settings: High school students who have been accepted to music performance and composition programs at University of North Texas, University of Florida, and the Texas Woman’s University Piano institute. In my teaching philosophy, I like to emphasize that by learning music, we can also develop the skills and discipline to succeed in many other activities. By setting clear goals and consistently following a plan to work towards them, we can achieve success in almost every area of life. By appointment, I also coach students who are interested in taking entrance exams for Musikhochschulen. Lessons can be given in German or English and are currently held at the Hochschule für Musik (Dresden Mitte/Altstadt) or in Neustadt by request. A little about me: I am a concert pianist from the USA, currently studying as a Deutschlandstipendium holder and Meisterklasse student at the Hochschule für Musik Dresden with Professor Hinrich Alpers. Oscar is an amazing instructor! His ability to teach how to play the guitar is incredible. He is patient and encouraging. He applies philosophy, wisdom and experience into his teaching practices. Before going to Oscar, I was not very confident on playing the guitar. Now, after only two lessons, I am playing better and have more confidence in my playing ability. I definitely would recommend him to anyone hands down!!

She easily built trust with our shy 9-year-old, managed to keep her interested in the lessons by caring about what our daughter liked and was flexible and supportive with our specific study goals.
