Trusted teacher: Learning how to play an instrument can fall into many classroom stereotypes; Not if you strive to discover sounds and styles, if you're open to learning not only an instrument but all that is related to music and sound making! I've taught at different institutes and private lessons for +5 years; then slowly began to put together my own method of teaching not only piano, but related subjects to help students gain a broader knowledge and be able to take next steps in their music journey even when they're finished with their music lessons.With all the experience I gathered in working with children and adults, I've composed a method of teaching subjects related to piano performance(music theory, music history, improvisation and creative music composing) alongside lessons on the instrument and piano techniques, as the student proceeds and is in need of more broad knowledge. It doesn't matter wether the student is a pupil or an adult, if they have experience in music or not, there's always a lot to discover together in my lessons; based on the students needs and interests. I usually start with basics of the instrument and give students a general lesson on how the instrument works. As we proceed in our lessons, we will cover techniques and more specific skills based on the interest of the student.Our lessons are very flexible regarding class material and my aim is to keep the lessons always fun and informative as well as following the bigger aim of helping the student to be confidant in their music performing and music creation. The format of our lessons will not stay the same as we work on different pieces, different skills and subjects. There are certain repertoire we will cover but also some of the pieces the student likes to be able to play and understand. We will also work on performing skills, I often organise mini concerts for students that like to overcome their fear of performing on stage or for others, giving them the opportunity to perform their own pieces or from classic piano repertoire.

Trusted teacher: I am a composer and pianist and I give piano lessons to kids and adults of a wide range of levels! Feel free to contact me if you are interested in learning how to play the piano or if you are curious about music theory or how to make your own music! In my classes, my goal is to approach piano playing in a holistic way, starting with a healthy posture, but also musical expression. We will work on memory, on the dependency of each hand and finger, integrating in every lesson the music theory and singing along with exercises on rhythm (TAKADIMI system of rhythm solfege) and last but not least, creation (through improvisation and other creative tasks) which will offer you the possibility to craft and master in a deeper level your piano skills. The structure and the material of the lesson derive from established piano methods and further music bibliography and they are adjusted to your skills, preferences, and wishes. I am always interested in transcribing some of my pupils' favorite pieces on piano according to their skills, something that often is very useful and fruitful for their progress. In the first lesson we will talk about your interests, motivation, and goals and we will create together a personal course structure. Experience in ABRSM piano performance exams in case you are interested in achieving a grade. Music demands patience and practice, but all these become easier when you keep your motivation alive by enjoying the process!

I started my lessons with Giorgia four months ago, and I am so glad to have found her. As a 26-year-old beginner, I was not sure if I should even try to pursue learning an instrument at this point. But now I am so glad I did! I am learning online, and I was a little unsure of how lessons via webcam would go. Despite my prejudice, everything turned out great, even though my setup is quite basic. Her approach to teaching is very creative. She is able to explain things that seem hard to put into words, and she always finds comparisons and descriptions that convey clearly little details of approach that make a lot of difference in the end result. For any difficulty I encountered, she presented methods of exercise that helped correct it. Another thing that I appreciate is that from one lesson to the next, the volume of work is challenging enough that I feel I am making progress, but not to the point that I am overwhelmed. Also, even though I am just beginning and the pieces are not that complex, she explains the musical interpretation in a way that not only helps me advance my skill but also enriches the way I understand and listen to music, and I find great value in that. Her manner of teaching is very organic, and she is a patient teacher with a warm presence. I wholeheartedly recommend her lessons!

We chose Ms. Carlotta as a teacher for our 5-y.o., due to her solid experience in music and music education. What we didn't know back then, is that Ms. Carlotta has also an amazing personality, which inspired our son, and further guided him through the learning process. Our child is now promptly finishing his first study book, and he never wants to miss a piano lesson or his practice time. We feel blessed to have a music teacher such as Ms. Carlotta for our son, and we fully recommend her to anyone interested.

Our son enjoyed so much a trial with Myrto! She is a very warm and smiley person, great and natural with kids! She was very patient and handled our 5y son wonderfully. It was very nice to have Myrto as she sparked so much joy and love for music. No hesitation to recommend her! In the end we opted for another teacher who spoke Russian to my son and that was an added bonus for us. Otherwise, we would be happy to continue with Myrto!
