My name is Daniela, and I am a cross-over violist from Costa Rica. I moved to the Netherlands in 2020 to pursue my studies at Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam, where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Classical Music (Viola). I am currently continuing my journey at Codarts with a Master's degree in Latin Music. During my time in the Netherlands, I have been part of a wide range of musical projects across different genres — from classical orchestras and chamber music to pop, jazz, and world music collaborations. I've performed with ensembles such as the Jong Metropole and recorded with various pop, jazz, and fusion bands. I am also the bandleader of my own Latin project, La Reunión, and work as a freelance musician with diverse musical groups. Before moving to the Netherlands, I studied Music Education at the University of Costa Rica and worked for several years as a private teacher. I have experience teaching violin and viola to both children and adults. As a teacher, I am kind and patient. I believe in the value of consistent, focused work and in helping students grow step by step. I aim to make the learning process feel easy and fun!

These piano lessons are all about enjoying music and feeling comfortable at the piano. Whether you’re a total beginner or already play a little, we’ll work at your pace and focus on building good habits, solid technique, and confidence. We’ll cover reading music, rhythm, and coordination, but always in a fun, relaxed way. You’ll get to play music you enjoy, explore your creativity, and actually have fun while learning. We can organize the lessons in a way that suit to the student needs. Them can be of one hour, thirty minutes, once a week or two weeks. I usually like spending some additional time in case by talking about music, students goals and their achievements. During the bass lessons we are gonna deal with: - left and right hand technique - scales, arpeggios and chords - Jazz accompaniment - Improvisation - sight reading - harmony related to the instrument.

With more than 200 students through all my life, more than 500 shows (mostly in Spain but also around Europe and a couple of minitours in America), 15 CDs/EP/singles published (as a frontman, sideman and producer), a bachelor in jazz-modern music guitar (Taller de Músics - Barcelona), half bachelor in piano jazz (Conservatori del Liceu - Barcelona) and a long professional music career behind me playing a ton of different styles (pop, rock, funk, metal, jazz, folk, rumba, reggae...), I've come from Barcelona to Rotterdam to continue my musical journey by doing the latin master at Codarts. I've been working as a music teacher for around 12 years (I'm 29 years old), both doing private lessons and in different music schools, being the most important one the “Escola de Música Creu Alta” in Sabadell (Barcelona), which is one of the biggest music schools in Spain (with more than 900 students), in which I was the Head of the Modern Music Department. I teach guitar (electric and classical), piano (electric and classical), composition, musical production (with Logic Pro), ensemble and modern music theory AT ALL LEVELS, from 100% beginners to people who want to prepare themselves for the music bachelor. I can adapt totally to what the student wants and is looking for, but also, since I have a lot of experience, I have the lessons well planned, I know which songs and exercises work better depending on the aspect that we want to work (tempo, chords, scales, sound, improvisation...) and when I see someone playing I can see in which aspects is the person strong, and in which aspects has the person more problems, so that way you won't waste your time! Also I'm a fun and very empathetic person so we will have fun, which is the most important thing!! I specialize in teaching about Music and how to play the Guitar. In class, I always make an effort to understand what are the goals and interests of all students, as well as their skills. This way we can address the issues at hand more effectively and make sure the student never loses his/her interest and focus in music and his/her instrument. Hi! My name is Eduardo, a professional musician and long-time music teacher. Would you like to know why many composers say that is a very powerful instrument because it fits in may situations? Did you know that in the Klezmer history clarinet substituted the violin for projection reasons but also because perfectly able to imitate the human voice, crying or laughing? Would you like to discover the fascinating world of clarinet? One of my priorities as a musician is the sound. I believe that with a beautiful and personal sound you are able at every level to transmit emotion and meaning, it doesn’t matter the difficulty or the level. So I try to focus first on awareness of what’s beautiful for the student and what’s not. Then through technique and repertoire (suggestions of the student or suggestions of mine that can help to grow the student curiosity), we develop the student knowledge. Always helping the student to understand -depending on his/her the theoretical level- what we are doing, putting together music and theory. And giving tools to expand the border, at all levels. I have knowledge and experience in Jazz, Classical, Klezmer, Choro Music and Improvisation. You just need a precious element! • Music Theory I focus on having a good basics, spending as much as we need to understand every single thing, because then with times it becomes more easy. I try to help the student simplifying the material because then, we only with ourselves with a good procedure of the basics to solve any problem. Only with one lesson, you will understand what I mean. I have experience in preparing students for exams, the ones for the semester as well as any official exam; doesn't matter if you have an intermediate theory level and you want to improve, or if you would like to be stronger solidifying the knowledge you have (which is always the best option), or if you don’t know anything about notes and music concepts and you would like to be familiar with them. I'm a jazz trumpet player from Italy, I have played the trumpet for 15 years, and I'm currently a master's student at Conservatorium van Amsterdam and a professional musician. In this class, I will transfer to you all my competencies about classical trumpet techniques and how to apply that in a jazz improvisation. Use your musical power! Or do you want to be able to select the music you like yourself? Should not be out of your level, we can play from pop to classical music, every student is different and therefore also my method. I, Kaori, have been active in the musical sector as a driven entrepreneur since 2016. At the age of three I started playing the piano, when I was 16 I composed my first piano song, and at the age of 18 I started to conduct small ensembles and create my own multidisciplinary to create projects with a mix of music, theater and other arts. By sharing my love for music, I ensure that the message gets across to the musicians, regardless of their level. My main focus is on playing together, being musically active and having fun in the process. I believe that every person is different and has different needs and abilities, that's why I like to adapt to my students and take care of their interests. In case the student does not have a clear view, I help him/her to find what appeals to him/her. If the student wishes, I can easily prepare him/her for the entrance exams for the conservatory.

We will find your needs together and start working from that point. You can come with no experience at all and I will help you to explore and develop your voice. It's also not important if you cannot read music, I can help you with that as well. If you are already a singer, we will work in order to refine your technique. Although I have the most experience with classical, I am able and I am glad to teach other styles! Voice, breathing, and posture are connected and fundamental for a healthy technique so we will also work on that while we focus on your voice. Singing can be very personal and confronting but do not fear, we work in a safe environment. Let yourself be surprised with what you can achieve!! The lesson can be in English, Spanish, Portuguese, or Italian.

Apart from teaching the most amazing latin rhythms, In my lessons I apply the stick control book, to achieve a good technique, and at the same time I teach coordination and grooves, with the best methods and books from the most qualified drummers. Cello lessons are adapted to each student’s level, goals and musical interests. Whether you are just starting or already have experience with the instrument, we will work on developing a solid technique while keeping music-making enjoyable and motivating. Lessons can include posture, bow technique, left-hand technique, sound production, intonation, rhythm, musical interpretation and repertoire. I also help students develop effective practice habits, so they can make progress independently between lessons. During the first lesson, we will discuss your previous experience, goals and any repertoire you would like to work on. From there, we will build a personalised approach and choose exercises and pieces that suit your needs and level. My main background is in classical cello, chamber music and orchestral playing, and I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students can develop both confidence and musical independence.
