I've been working as a music teacher for around 12 years (I'm 29 years old), both doing private lessons and in different music schools, being the most important one the “Escola de Música Creu Alta” in Sabadell (Barcelona), which is one of the biggest music schools in Spain (with more than 900 students), in which I was the Head of the Modern Music Department. I teach guitar (electric and classical), piano (electric and classical), composition, musical production (with Logic Pro), ensemble and modern music theory AT ALL LEVELS, from 100% beginners to people who want to prepare themselves for the music bachelor. I can adapt totally to what the student wants and is looking for, but also, since I have a lot of experience, I have the lessons well planned, I know which songs and exercises work better depending on the aspect that we want to work (tempo, chords, scales, sound, improvisation...) and when I see someone playing I can see in which aspects is the person strong, and in which aspects has the person more problems, so that way you won't waste your time! Also I'm a fun and very empathetic person so we will have fun, which is the most important thing!! I speak 6 languages: Catalan, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Dutch and English, so we can do the classes in one of these languages. For BEGINNERS I teach the bow, finger positions and other basics with easy songs (with kids I add games to make it more entreating). Such as relating painting with playing, dancing with playing or literature with playing. For AVERAGE LEVEL we explore, with already some technique, how to play songs, finding a good sound and feel at ease with the instrument. Extra activities: Once a month I plan a rehearsal with pianist to work on some repertoire of cello and piano. Meetings with other students are also arranged to play duos together. I had previously played some classical for a few years, but was looking to learn jazz piano and improvisation as well. For this David is ideal, as he studied both as a classical and jazz musician, and has a deep understanding of each. About half the lessons we focus on jazz improvisation. During the lessons I improvise over a few songs, and each session he gives feedback, while adding a new layer of difficulty. We've also worked a lot on rhythm, which has really helped me bridge the gap between classical and jazz. We spent a few lessons on classical pieces as well, to refine technique and musicality. My playing feels much more fluid and musical already, and he's really helpful/knowledgeable with the details. Also, on the weeks where I did have not had much time to practice, we do a more (jazz) theory oriented lesson, which has also helped alot with my improvisation. Overall, I only have positive things to say about the lessons! David is a very easy-going teacher, and from the first lesson I felt very comfortable asking him questions. He's very versatile as well, and easily adapts the lesson according to what suits us best that week.

Reconnecting with Pau as a guitar teacher has been as good as I remembered. He's a a great instructor in all the aspects: he's patient and when something is difficult for me he always finds and alternative that is complementary and it really helps me. He knows a lot about music and different genres but if you want to play something he doesn't master, he'd look into it and make it easy for you to enjoy it. The way he plays is so good he's an inspiration and it makes you want to be better. Always my number 1 option guitar teacher!

So far, I had three lessons with Austeja. And my experience is great, more than I could have ever expected. Austeja is very knowledgeable about music and knows how to coach singing adepts in their singing aspirations.
