I've been a drummer for almost 20 years now, and I've graduated from both Brussels Royal Conservatory of Music (classical percussion) and Mons Royal Conservatory of Music (pedagogy). I've been teaching percussion, the drums and music theory for a little more than 4 years now. My students are always the real actors of my courses. No matter what instrument you are learning, be it percussion, the drums, marimba, vibraphone, or music theory, I always pay close attention to your personal goals, and together we devise a unique learning plan that adapts to your strengths as well as your weaknesses. My courses are aimed at anyone who is willing to put effort into learning music; children or adults, complete beginners or more advanced players who wish to receive additional feedback and insight. Autonomy, creativity, curiosity and listening skills are the true pillars of my methodology. We pay as much attention to technique as to musicality or listening skills. Additionally, I provide tailored exercises, on-demand sheet music and transcriptions according to your needs, as well as additional resources and recommendations on my website to nourish your musical life and journey. I teach the following: -the drums, in various styles (rock, funk, jazz, shuffle, pop, world music, latin music, on-demand songs) and forms (Moeller technique, speed, rudiments, syncopation, breaks, solo, independence, musicality, double pedal, push-pull, etc.); -percussion (2 or 4-mallet marimba and vibraphone, xylophone, timpani, cajón, hand percussion), in both contemporary and classical music styles; -music theory, which can and will easily be integrated into my drumming or percussion courses, or can be taught as a separate course for music students who are seeking remedial education; -harmony; -sight reading techniques; -perfect and relative pitch (experimental)

I am a violinist and I will soon finish my studies at the IRMEP (Royal Higher Institute of Music and Pedagogy) in Namur in Didactics. With a Bachelor's degree in violin and baroque violin, and a Master's degree in Music (specializing in violin), I have always been passionate about music and have been teaching for almost 10 years. I love sharing and passing on my passion! During my lessons, I adapt to each person, I try to support each student as best as possible and at their own pace. I make sure that the course goes in a positive way, in a good mood and in confidence. I respect each course. Music is above all to have fun! My method is three steps: silence to organize the song; whispering: singing very softly to begin. The volume will follow; analyzing the lyrics to find the right interpretation. Hello, My name is Elijah. Currently a student at the Royal Institute of Music and Pedagogy of Namur, I offer violin lessons at all levels. With both a scenic and educational experience, I will be very happy to pass on to you or your child all that I have been able to learn during my life as a musician. it is with a lot of enthusiasm that we can choose to approach the violin under two different aspects. Academic: Work in the tradition of the great violin schools (Russian, Belgian, French), with a technical program adapted to the needs, which will evolve over time. This type of work is very suitable for beginners, intermediates who wish to evolve in a slightly more "technical" dimension (without losing the primary objective which is music), or even more advanced people who wish to approach the great classical repertoire in a healthy and thorough way. Cours de saxophone classique et jazz: My motivation in teaching is to help a student learn the fundamental technique of saxophone performance so they can develop their ow creativity, voice and passion on the saxophone. My hope is to start a student on a life long journey exploring music as art in all its different manifestations, whether performance, composition, etc. I have specialised in classical/contemporary saxophone, however I am still a student myself pursing learning jazz. I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.
