I offer private lessons and semi-singing in Watermael-Boitsfort (corner of the broom). Classes are directed to the desires and demands of the student. Here is what I propose ... Voice technique: through vocalizations and other fun exercises, learn to use your body and your voice in an effective and healthy way. Directory (or not): chosen by the student and the teacher. My preference goes to jazz and all its branches and roots (bossa, brazilian, blues, gospel, polyphony, ...) because it's for me the best training but I'm open and I sing myself (almost) every other styles ;-) Improvisation: the best for the end :-) listening exercise, creativity, self-expression, voice and musicality. Through very progressive and clear exercises, we will explore (if the pupil desires) vocal improvisation. Music lessons for children (from 1 year to + -6-7 years old): Animation of 30 min or 45 min (depending on age) with the same structure that remains, the songs change. Song or rhythmic activity to say hello Gesture song (fine psychomotricity) Songs with maracas eggs (keep a pulse, manipulate the eggs, work on coordination) Presentation of a musical instrument Song to be accompanied by children of different percussion instruments Song to move or dance Pre music theory or recognition exercise of noises or instruments (depends on age) Song to say goodbye

Those students and parents who found me at Apprentus left me beautiful recommendations that I really recommend reading below. Lessons can take place at my "Brussels Flute Studio" at Parc des Princes, Auderghem area. Metro 5 - Herrmann-Debroux, tram 8 - Tenreuken, bus 41-Transvaal. There is also possibility of lessons at student home or online. For each student I propose personalised method and individual approach. I am teaching how to play flute, piccolo and alto flute. Classes are in English, French or Polish. Beginner, Intermediate, advance level; Young (+6) and older - all welcome. My students play in duos, trios, quartets and in the flute orchestra; at least few times a year students play concert, go to competitions, attend workshops, Flute Festivals & masterclasses (for school year 2023/2024 minimum 6 events are planned); I am experienced in preparing for ABRSM exams; my students pass ABRSM exams with merits and distinctions! All the students need their own instrument. I help to find and buy an instrument, repair it or resell it. I am really sorry, but I stopped lending flutes because of my bad experience. A really good flute teacher who sets interesting challenges to motivate practising the flute every day and independently. She also has plenty of up-to-date ideas combining different material sources (including digitals! top notch teacher with IT!) according to my needs and interests. She teaches me a lot of very useful tips for my level and I can hear a clear difference from a lesson to another. Yet, no miracle either: you must practice! But with the right instructions, she can help you pass obstacles you may have thought they were impossible to overcome. And playing the flute becomes a mere pleasure and joyful challenge! Besides, she never allows you to rest in your comfortable zone! There are always plenty of interesting and useful things to learn with great pleasure rather than with pain and stress! Catalina is a wonderful teacher! I have just started to play the viola and I am very happy to have found Catalina as my teacher! Catalina is experienced, professional, motivated, creative and patient. She easily adapts to the student's level and tailors each lesson to the student's individual needs. I have already learned so much useful exercices in only two lessons with Elena that I can barely keep up my own workout on the side between courses! It is dense lessons where you learn many things in a methodic way, and yet she still manages to get me to relax in no more than 5 minutes, even after a tough day of work. She has a cheerful and gentle personnality, I'm making progress, and it's strictly good times!
