This online beginner bootcamp is perfect if you want a clear plan and fast progress in belly dance foundations. We’ll build solid technique step by step — hip slides, lifts, accents, pelvic twist, simple shimmy prep, and body wave basics — plus clean arm lines and posture. Each 60-minute class includes a warm-up (including neck + feet/ankles), focused technique drills, and a short combo so you can actually dance what you learned. You’ll also get a simple practice plan after class, so you always know what to repeat between lessons. Bharatanatyam is a journey that demands discipline, and I understand what it takes to reconnect with movement as an adult in a way that is also joyful, meaningful, and rewarding. In my class, I will take you through the fundamentals (dance theory, technique (adavus, hasthas, bedas etc), and history), while supporting you with a sustained and safe practice. I will also teach choreography to supplement your technique practice and inspire you to feel natural with the Bharatanatyam style and performance. I want to understand your learning goals and tailor my teaching to best support you. I offer private classes online and in-person classes in Oxford. I adapt my teaching methodology for children, adults, intermediate learners and those returning to training/practice after a long break. I speak Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi as well.

The practice of Roller Dance is a completely independent street art with very few rules. If you are a lover of "quads" (roller skates) that you dream of sliding on the asphalt with your hair blowing in the wind and that you like old school culture, you've come to the right place;) I suggest for beginners (first time or not yet comfortable) to gain confidence on roller skates thanks to balance exercises as well as basic steps and tips to safely learn the basics of Roller Dance. For the intermediate level (you hold on well on your skates) I suggest learning the most emblematic steps of this discipline, which have made the reputation of Roller Dance all over the world, you will be able to do sequences yourself and why not improvise in the evening. For the advanced level (you already know how to dance on roller skates) I suggest that you make your movements more fluid by correcting the posture and by incorporating the arms, to take steps at a higher level, but also to help you create your own "routine" (small loop representing your signature)

I can help you start or improve your tango if you already have experience and need someone to practice with or create new steps or choreographies. I can advise you on milonga etiquette if you've never been to a milonga. I've been dancing since I was 7, and I started tango at 16. I trained with Claudio Pereyra in Argentina and with Anabel Gutiérrez Otero in Barcelona. I'm waiting for you so we can dance together.

There is never a dull moment in class! Each specific class and lesson plan are catered to specific age groups from Pre-K to adults. They consist of engaging movement activities, warm-up, and complex movement combinations. I am an energetic and patient teacher who seriously takes into account the needs and skill level of the student in preparing the lesson plans and material. I teach hip hop, ballet, contemporary, and percussive dance. My use of dance vocabulary and physical demonstrations allow me to teach the material accurately and effectively. My positive attitude and constant words of encouragement keep students motivated and engaged in the lesson. Students will increase their knowledge and physical vocabulary of the movement style and leave each lesson a better dancer, performer and person. I encourage students to bring writing materials to each lesson to take notes for any learned vocabulary and each lesson will follow with a recorded video of the movement for the students to refer to until the next lesson.
