Matéo - Paris36€
Trusted teacher: Hello, welcome to my ad! My name is Matéo and I am 26 years old. I have been playing guitar for 9 years and teaching it for 5 years. After studying at the conservatory and music school, I obtained my Diploma of Musical Studies (DEM) specializing in jazz guitar. Over the years, I have been able to accompany around forty students, both in private lessons, group lessons and at the conservatory where I teach today. OPTION1) The course I offer is aimed at beginner to intermediate level guitarists, of all ages (children too!), in acoustic and electric guitar. My goal is to give you the essential basics of the instrument (body position, technique, chords) as well as an understanding of fundamental musical concepts (rhythm, ear, reading tablature and/or music theory) which will be very useful to you as a musician. We will base our learning as quickly as possible on real pieces of music, if possible suggested by the student because I think that learning by playing the music you like is the most motivating method. As a teacher, I have always adapted as best I could to each profile to make them learn in the way that suited them best, make them play the music they like, help them with their difficulties and push them to surpass themselves in their abilities. Finally, I always make sure that the lessons take place in a calm and pleasant atmosphere so that the student progresses at their own pace and learns while having fun. OPTION 2) This course is for intermediate to advanced guitarists (and musicians in general) who want to acquire a deeper understanding of music theory. What we can cover, depending on your needs: analysis, harmony, composition, transcription, improvisation, music theory, ... Lessons can take place at my home, in the 15th arrondissement, or at the student's home where I can travel (for an extra) within a reasonable radius. Declared via CESU (Universal Employment Service Check) or self-employed invoice.

Trusted teacher: With me, you can begin, develop, or even perfect your piano skills. I adapt to all levels, styles, and paces. Some students who have dedicated a significant amount of time to studying piano regularly have made tremendous progress in a short period. For students wishing to prepare for the entrance exam to the conservatory, I can help you in the form of an intensive mini-course during the summer or before (piano leveling and/or music theory). My teaching method is sensory-focused, emphasizing the development of movement in connection with musical feeling. I will help you "connect" with your instrument and unlock its full potential. Also, I attach importance to understanding the pieces played. Understanding their structural, harmonic functioning is necessary and unfortunately little addressed in traditional courses. My classes are deeply human. A relationship of trust is established from the very beginning of the lessons. In my opinion, this is the foundation of effective learning. My students are very satisfied with my approach, and I would encourage you to try the experience too! I teach at home (Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume), at the student's home, and also via videoconference in the rest of France and abroad. For this last option, if you are not equipped, I will help you with your first steps. I offer hybrid formats for certain locations (online courses + some occasional in-person courses). NOTE: The price shown is for a 50-minute lesson. Do not hesitate to contact me. The pleasure of working with you !

I'm really glad that I can take bass lessons from Christophe, as a professional bass player, he has really good skills and can adapt easily according to students' levels and preferences. Also, he is really responsible, and he sent the course notes to me very promptly after each lesson, which helped me to memorize better. For questions that I may have about bass, he is also quite responsive, through which I've learnt a lot. I strongly recommend Christophe, for his profession, friendliness, as well as patience and responsibility. And I'm also sure that he will be a good tutor and friend as well in your bass journey.

Rob is fantastic - warm, engaging, and patient. My 10-year-old son has been taking a weekly class with Rob for the entire school year. Rob is very responsive and communicative, so scheduling and other logistics have been smooth. He incorporates my son's interests into the lessons while building foundational skills. Rob has helped my son grow as a musician and, perhaps most importantly, maintain an enthusiasm for the process.
