Trusted teacher: A full course of one hour (60 min) with the possibility of reserving for a longer duration (90 min). My classes are mainly oriented on the connection with the breath, the anchoring and the deep muscular work. The lessons are adapted according to the level of the students, and I offer several variations: Hatha Yoga: general category which encompasses most of the styles practiced. "Hatha" means "perseverance", "effort" or even "determination". To be determined to achieve liberation within a certain period. This discipline is in relation with "prana", the vital force and its two components: masculine energies, considered as solar and active + feminine energies considered as lunar and passive. From there was born another interpretation according to which "Ha" & "Tha" would mean the sun and the moon united and balanced through the practice of Hatha yoga. The soul being the sun, constant and stable in its brilliance and luminosity, the spirit being the moon, constantly fluctuating and changing like the phases of the moon. The basic principle of Hatha yoga being to unite and harmonize the opposing energies of the body; the mind and its reactions. We unite the body and the spirit to unite the spirit with the universe. A Hatha yoga class consists of physical postures and breathing exercises. The postures are performed slower and last for a few breaths (30 seconds to a few minutes) to promote anchorage and stability. A real in-depth muscular work. Vinyasa Yoga: the Sanskrit term Vinyasa is derived from 2 roots "Nyasa" which means "to place" and "Vi" which can be translated as "in a specific way". Each movement is linked to rhythm and consciously placed to create a dynamic flow. It is a more rhythmic and powerful yoga which allows to link the postures in a harmonious way with transitions commonly called "vinyasa" and used in particular during the sun salutations. Here we retain the postures in a shorter time than during a Hatha yoga session, but we are still aware of our movements and our alignment. Gentle yoga: for people looking for relaxation, a stretching work inspired by Yin Yoga to release muscle tension and settle into letting go. I invite you to discover Yoga with Hope Arts Studio or to deepen your knowledge if you are already practicing. Meditation: work on the chakras; the 7 main energy centers of the body, often represented by 7 specific colors. During this session, we will focus on a particular chakra to balance and / or unblock it through breathing techniques and guided meditation. We will also explore mindfulness meditation, bringing the moment to the present moment, reconnecting to your “inner self” consciously and without judgment, examining thoughts and emotions. This practice is beneficial for relieving tension and everyday stress. Possibility of private or semi-private lessons in the studio, at home or online. I teach in French and English.

Trusted teacher: I teach Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in a traditional way, drawing inspiration from teachers and teachers whom I followed and met during my career I adapt to the needs of the student both physically and morally. Every body is different and every day we feel differently. The method of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is based on several distinct series that consist of sequences of postures with different purposes and allowing an evolutionary practice by following degrees of difficulty. - The Yoga Chikitsa primary series, also called Yoga Therapy, which cleans and detoxifies the body by realigning it. - The intermediate series Nadi Shodana, which purifies the nervous system - Advanced series that leads to divine stability For beginners and intermediates, my classes are on the first series. There are several key and fundamental keys in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. The postures are synchronized with fundamental points that are tristana. Using ujayyi breathing, bandhas (energetic locks) and dristis (focus point), we create an internal heat during practice with vinyasa which means the synchronization of the breath with the movement. This dynamic practice develops concentration and strengthens the mind. Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga means eight members (eight steps). In the philosophy of yoga, it is an ancestral way that encourages to follow these rules of life to reach the state of serenity peculiar to this discipline. Each practice is a journey and a new self-discovery and a gradual transformation.

Trusted teacher: Do you want to learn the balancing act, do you need more flexibility for your sport or do you want to become more flexible in general? Did your sports club's standard stretching methods and YouTube videos not help? Unlike children, most adults find it much more difficult to improve their mobility. Therefore, they must proceed with particularly sophisticated techniques and with caution, because nothing throws back further than an injury. I use a combination of different methods that combine stretching with training: My exercises stretch and strengthen the muscles at the same time and thus have a positive effect on the central nervous system, which in turn controls the stretching. Therefore this course is very exhausting! ● Breathing and relaxation techniques ● Fascia training and nerve mobilization for improved signal transmission -> nervous system ● alternating tension and relaxation of the muscle or its agonist ● Strengthening the muscle in the stretched state and at the same time improving balance (loaded progressive stretching) ● Using lever techniques to create more room for deeper stretching; isolated stretching of individual muscles (kinesiological stretching) With the classic approach, you passively wait in the respective position until you automatically dive deeper into the stretch due to muscle fatigue. The muscle is not sufficiently activated, so the nervous system is not affected to the same extent and progress is significantly slower. If you want to move faster and are not afraid of a little exertion, you should definitely try this method! About me: I'm inherently inflexible and I started stretching when I was over 20 to become a professional artist. Therefore, I know the difficulties from my own experience, have dealt intensively with stretching and keep myself constantly up to date. Private lessons at your home, at work or on Skype! Can also be combined with training plans on request.

Yoga for children, teens and families to inspire creativity, curiosity and connection! (Caxias)
Martina
My daughter who is 11, took online Yoga classes with Martina, and she really enjoyed it. Martina had a way to connect with her which worked very well; during the class, when teaching to my daughter Yoga movements, and after the class, as Martina asked my daughter to reflect on a number of subjects which were always excellent and helped her notice and appreciate what was around her. So overall, this was a brilliant experience with a brilliant teacher I fully recommend.
