Trusted teacher: I would like to teach you to learn to play the piano. Music is an indispensable thing in life, in my opinion. The lessons will be in person at my home on location (online is possible in consultation) and the teaching method will be adapted to knowledge, technique and age. I can teach you technique as well as the fundamentals of music theory. Of course it's a lot more fun if you can also just play your favorite pieces! I believe that development of technique is better practiced by learning and applying it in actual pieces of music instead of exercise books of, for example, Alfred's piano method. Some info about me: I have been interested in classical music since my early teens. It's an incredibly important part of my life. My private teachers were main study teacher of piano and organ Jelena Bazova from the Tilburg Conservatory, Canadian concert pianist Steven Massicotte and Helmond city organist Jan van de Laar. I don't consider myself a soloist, as I had only been at the conservatory for a fairly short time, before going back to ICT and financing my concert grand piano. I have developed a method that allows you to learn this quickly. My method provides general insight very quickly and at the same time is focused on you as an individual from the start. Skills/conditions required for this course: - be able to read music notes - basic knowledge of chords on the piano - in possession of an (electric) piano - time for daily tutorial It concerns a course of 5 lessons, in principle during 5 consecutive weeks. The first two lessons may be split so that I can help you on your way every few days. Depending on your (style) taste and level, we determine together which songs we will tackle. What you learn in 5 weeks you can apply to other songs after the course. Of course you can also contact me for individual (piano) lessons, songwriting and theory. Hearing - Indentifying scales, chords, intervals, chord progressions and melodies by ear and being able to play them on the instrument. Theory/Harmony - This field is essential for anyone who wants to audition for a music university programme and needs basic music theory knowledge, or someone who wants to be more knowledgeable in music theory and analysis. I teach basic theory, Jazz theory/analysis, Pop Theory, and music analysis in scores. Composition - Learning techniques and ways of composing in any style of music. Technique - Soloing techniques (Alternate picking, legato, finger tapping, sweep picking, economy picking, Bending/Vibrato and expression) Scales/Arpeggios/ Modes, fingerstyle, right hand technique (For acoustic guitar) Rhythm Strumming techniques (for acoustic guitar) Improvisation: Being able to play musically and with spontaneity over different harmonic progressions and tunes. I am also specified in pop/rock and jazz improvisation.
