Nice to meet you :D My name is Melvin, and I'm a pianist/composer and music theorist who loves to guide people with a passion for music! In my lessons, I teach three different subjects in which I specialize and perhaps can help you improve your skills as a musician. If you want to play the piano intuitively, without thinking about it, or interpret scores, then Piano + Improvisation is the course for you! Together, we'll break through the boundaries of traditional sheet music and teach you to unleash your inner musicality. Whether you're a beginning pianist longing to improvise simple melodies or an experienced player looking to explore new expressive paths, I'll inspire and encourage you to broaden your musical horizons. Have you always wanted to write your own music, but don't know how to get started? Then together we'll push your creative boundaries and help you develop your own musical masterpieces. Whether you're a budding composer taking your first steps or an experienced musician looking for new inspiration, I'm here to guide and inspire you on your unique composition journey. Need some theory because you don't understand certain elements of music? No worries! Step by step, we'll explore the fundamentals of music theory together, delving into notes, chords, rhythm, and structure. You'll discover how all these elements work together to create masterpieces, or to better understand scores as a musician. I'm looking forward to meeting you :D Melvin

Hi, have you always wanted to learn to play guitar? I can help! From the very first lesson, we'll try playing a song and playfully learn all the basic chords, as well as some basic strumming and picking. We'll then apply this to other songs—with every song we try, we learn new things. This way, we build a songbook with all your favorite songs. Later, we can also learn barre chords, more complex strumming, and so on. I've mastered about 1000 songs myself. I'm the same age as Sheryl Crow and Jon Bon Jovi :), and music is my hobby and my passion.

The lessons take place in a pleasant demo room. At your own pace I will teach you the guitar and its possibilities so that you can quickly play your favorite songs. If you come and sing, I will quickly lift you to unprecedented heights through my knowledge and years of experience. I like to coach motivated people who can make time to develop themselves musically. I expect commitment and then things can happen quickly. I have taught piano for 4 years and I see it as the means to bring my experience with music directly to students. Therefore, my primary goal as a teacher is to make this experience enjoyable, enriching, and challenging. My lessons are organized depending on the level, needs, and objectives of the student. We can work on classic repertoire, pop, and movie soundtracks, or improvise. I love to share my passion for music with my students.

I've been playing guitar (mainly acoustic) since I was 14. I taught myself. That was 19 years ago. If you want to skip music theory and music theory, you've come to the right place. I can teach you right away how to play chords (from easy to slightly more difficult) and eventually play songs you've always wanted to be able to play. Everything happens at your own pace. You can come to me, but I am also prepared to come to you (in the latter case with transportation costs included) provided the distance is feasible, but we can discuss all that. Preferably on your own guitar, but I also have an extra guitar available if necessary.

Drumming is fun! It gives you a lot of energy. You can always learn to play drums, age is not important. It is about what you want to get out of class. I teach you how to play along with your music. Rock, Funk, Jazz, Drum, a drum solo, etc... In the drum lessons we deal with the different aspects of drumming. Think of playing different styles, reading notes, bow technique and much more.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s age, experience, and goals. Children (7–12 years old) For younger students, lessons focus on building confidence while making learning fun. We begin with simple vocal warm-ups and ear training to develop pitch and intonation, then move on to singing their favourite songs, encouraging good vocal habits in an enjoyable way. Teenagers (12-17 years old) With teenage students, we start with more structured vocal warm-ups and exercises. As we discover their natural voice, we work on developing a comfortable vocal range, improving technique, and applying these skills through songs that suit their voice and interests. Adults and seniors (18+) For adult students, lessons are usually divided into two parts. We begin with vocal technique, focusing on breathing, diaphragm support, scales, arpeggios, and intonation. We then apply these techniques through singing, helping you develop confidence, control, and healthy vocal habits. I will give you repertoire to study or we will study the pieces you have to prepare. The final goal will be to sing on a musical accompaniment. Every student learns at a different pace. Some may spend more time building a solid technical foundation before moving on to more challenging repertoire, and that’s perfectly fine. My priority is to ensure that every student feels comfortable, supported, and confident throughout their vocal journey. I teach children, teenagers, and adults and seniors from complete beginners to advanced singers. My classical training provides a strong technical foundation that can be applied to any musical style, whether you enjoy pop, musical theatre, jazz, rock, or classical singing. Whatever your age or experience, I’d love to help you discover and develop your voice. Let’s sing!
