With a degree in musicology, I offer tailor-made piano lessons for motivated children, teenagers and adults.Translate this text using Google Translate.

A pianist since childhood, I have explored classical music as well as jazz and pop/rock, always looking for new ways to learn and share. In high school, I co-founded the group The Trickery with Mohammed Belkhir, aka MB14, now an internationally renowned beatboxer (finalist of The Voice, semi-finalist of Britain's Got Talent, actor in Tenor and Cat's Eyes, nominated for the César Revelations 2023). After studying musicology at Charles de Gaulle University, I co-founded the alternative rock band Silent Elephant. As singer, keyboardist, and composer, we were finalists on Star's Music, signed with the label Unkind Music, and recorded two studio EPs. Our second album, supported by the professional Tour de Chauffe program, was ranked in the top 100 independent albums and EPs of 2016 by critic Adam Marx. In addition to piano and singing, I'm experimenting with computer music. My Harry Potter remix has notably surpassed 200,000 views on the Internet. Today, my ambition is to pass on this passion: to share the musical experience, awaken creativity, and take each student on their own musical journey, whether it be classical piano, jazz, or pop-rock. My approach is informed by both my artistic background and the latest pedagogical research, resulting in patient, rigorous, and deeply human instruction.

Beginner guitar lessons in Lille: progressive method with videos, practice app and backing tracksTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Beginner guitar lessons in Lille: progressive method with videos, practice app and backing tracksTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Hello, I'm Mélanie, a guitar teacher in Lille. I offer guitar lessons specifically designed for adults and teenagers who are complete beginners. My method is progressive: we build solid foundations to master chord changes, right-hand rhythm, and the first pieces, at your own pace. The lessons are structured so that you are not left alone at home with your instrument: - short videos to understand the movements before the lesson, - a one-on-one lesson with me to correct, unblock, and progress faster. - a right-hand training app for regular practice, - backing tracks that I create for real beginners to play along to music from the very first weeks. Part of the work is done at your own pace at home, then we use the course to address any real obstacles and progress more efficiently. Once you're back home, you'll continue practicing the correct techniques and using an app to help you maintain your rhythm. We can work together on the first chords, chord changes, playing with a pick, the first rhythms, and then real songs adapted to your level. About me : I have 5 years of experience teaching guitar, 4 years of experience teaching English and I am currently resuming my studies: my master's degree in educational engineering is in progress. As part of this master's program, I am currently looking for a few beginner students to evaluate this method. This simply involves answering a few short questionnaires throughout the course, in order to assess their experience and the effectiveness of the method. In exchange, I am offering a reduced rate during this one-month phase. Lessons can take place at my home in Lille or at your home depending on the area. You can write to me if you have any questions or to book a first lesson. Mélanie

Hello! I've been teaching nonstop for over 10 years, and I'd love to tell you what a class with me offers: 100% personalized approach: The first step is to define your goals. Learning for pleasure? Preparing for entrance exams? Or taking the professional leap? I'll adapt the methodology, curriculum, and even the repertoire to your goals. Dynamic environment (without losing rigor): Relaxed but demanding classes, where practical methods (and my irremediable sense of humor) prevail. Hearing + Musicality + Analysis: We'll work on listening, understanding, and analyzing your musical references. The goal: for you to make artistic decisions with confidence and feel music as your own. No stylistic biases: For me, all music is valid. We'll explore everything from classical to electronic, using each style to work on key aspects: melody, harmony, production... We'll even explore genres you're unfamiliar with together! Important! I balance classes with concerts and projects. Although you're my priority, I appreciate the occasional flexibility to reschedule (only when strictly necessary). If you like this approach, write to me! Learning music is an exciting journey, and I'd love to be your guide.

I started my lessons with Giorgia four months ago, and I am so glad to have found her. As a 26-year-old beginner, I was not sure if I should even try to pursue learning an instrument at this point. But now I am so glad I did! I am learning online, and I was a little unsure of how lessons via webcam would go. Despite my prejudice, everything turned out great, even though my setup is quite basic. Her approach to teaching is very creative. She is able to explain things that seem hard to put into words, and she always finds comparisons and descriptions that convey clearly little details of approach that make a lot of difference in the end result. For any difficulty I encountered, she presented methods of exercise that helped correct it. Another thing that I appreciate is that from one lesson to the next, the volume of work is challenging enough that I feel I am making progress, but not to the point that I am overwhelmed. Also, even though I am just beginning and the pieces are not that complex, she explains the musical interpretation in a way that not only helps me advance my skill but also enriches the way I understand and listen to music, and I find great value in that. Her manner of teaching is very organic, and she is a patient teacher with a warm presence. I wholeheartedly recommend her lessons!

Mary has been great in our interactions. At the moment, we are meeting twice a week for an hour each session. She started with a class in which we got to know each other and she listen to my goals. Then, she prepared exercises and lessons specially designed to help me reach those goals with practice and also prepared lessons to help me continue growing as a guitar player. Moreover, she goes often out of her way to get songs challenging to my level, but that are doable with enough practice. In all, I am enjoying quite a lot of our classes and I am always looking forward to them.

The teacher was warm, attentive, and very clear in her explanations. She quickly identified areas I could improve and gave me practical tips to work on. Highly recommended!
