Trusted teacher: Hello! My name is Ana, I am 32 years old and I am a violin teacher with 10+ years of teaching experience working with children and adults, specializing in creating a supportive environment for beginners and advanced players. I am based in Maastricht and I teach at my violin studio in Scharn. My teaching focuses on developing solid technique and musicality in a friendly and encouraging environment. I help students build a strong foundation and enjoy music-making. Over the years I have developed my own teaching method which includes elements from ABRSM, Trinity, Suzuki and Galamian methods, as well as covers standard violin repertoire. This makes learning structured and fun. For optimal development, I organize frequent lessons with the piano accompanist as well as a two class concerts per year in various locations in Maastricht, where everybody is welcome to join and support! Because I am always fully committed to my students, I like to study each case individually and prepare for each lesson beforehand. A bit about my teaching background: both my parents are violin teachers, so this is my world since I can remember. As soon as I started conservatory in London I started teaching privately and in a music school while I was studying performance and music pedagogy. I am proud to have very high-level students that have pursued a career in music and have become exceptional violinists. I currently divide my time between teaching violin and playing as Co-Principal second violin at Philharmonie Zuidnederland, as well as freelancing in other orchestras like Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonisch Orkest and Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest. I gained my Bachelor's Degree from the Royal College of Music in London with a specialization in teaching and a Master's Degree from Musikhochschule Lübeck. I was an academist at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in 2017/2018. Lessons can be in Dutch, English or Spanish.

Trusted teacher: Hello! I am an English saxophonist, guitarist, pianist and composer / music theorist, currently based in Maastricht, NL. I've been playing saxophone, guitar and piano for 15 years and after building a life around music and creative expression, it's my passion to share that with anyone eager to learn; at any level. I spent 2019-2022 touring South East Asia and East Africa playing saxophone in a jazz ensemble, and teaching at schools and privately. Music has been a passport for me to travel the world and connect with such a variety of people and cultures. I believe music can bring so much value to our lives, it can excite us and move us, give us a sense of purpose and identity and ultimately enrich us in ways we would never otherwise grow. Whether you are just starting out on your journey as a musician and you need help with the very basics of your instrument, or you have existing experience but are looking for help / structure to take you to the next level - I am so looking forward to working with you in an engaging environment to help you turn a hobby into a serious passion. I also teach music theory if you are an existing musician but have not taken the first steps into theory yet, or you are preparing for upcoming exams all the way up to Conservatorium level. I aim to tailor our teaching environment to fit the individual needs, level and personality of each student. Want to learn how to play saxophone, guitar or piano? Let's meet up! Want to learn new music by ear, develop your technique, or expand your harmonic / rhythmic knowledge? Don't know where to start with composition, or music theory? I'm open to it all! Look forward to meeting you!! Francis Lessons taught in English & preferred at students location

Trusted teacher: Welcome to my profile! My name is Fabiola, and I am a violin and viola teacher and children’s orchestra conductor based in Maastricht. I work with students of all ages, creating a supportive, creative, and personalized learning environment where each student can grow at their own pace and enjoy making music. As an active orchestral performer, I bring my professional experience on stage directly into my teaching. I help students develop a solid technique while fostering musicality, expression, and confidence. I use a variety of teaching approaches, including Suzuki, ABRSM, Trinity, and Galamian methods, adapting them to each student’s age, personality, and goals. In my lessons, I also focus on how to practice effectively at home, tackle challenging passages, and prepare confidently for public performances. I began my musical journey with El Sistema in Venezuela and continued my studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, specializing in both performance and pedagogy. I completed a Master’s in Violin Performance with a focus on Spanish music, as well as a symphonic master’s in collaboration with the Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra (Orquesta RTVE). I currently collaborate with the Philharmonie Zuidnederland and the Spanish Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra, while also teaching private violin and viola lessons. I believe that discipline and enjoyment go hand in hand, and I enjoy guiding each student in their artistic and personal growth.

Pian

My son had his first-ever Piano lesson with Pian, initially, I was worried that he would get intimidated by the complicated music notes and concepts, and immediately lose interest in learning. But Pian is an experienced teacher who knows how to lead the kids into the topic, she was methodical and patient. Myy son had lots of fun in his first lesson, and he is looking forward to the next one. Pian also had done some follow-ups, to share some learning materials with me which are very helpful. I would recommend Pian to anyone who wants to have a patient, experienced, caring and resourceful piano teacher.

Ana was very quick to respond to my first message and very friendly. Speaks English well which is great for me! We arranged our first lesson easily, and as a total beginner, she advised me on where I could hire a violin. Our first lesson was great, she was very patient and explained the basics well. Lesson times can be flexible which helps me since I work shifts and cannot commit to the same time each week. I would recommend Ana to anyone wanting to learn violin.

Egita is a great teacher and extremely skilled and knowledgeable regarding vocal techniques, relevant anatomy, and music theory. She has a goal-oriented and empowering approach to her teaching that is carefully tailored to the student's interests, requests, and aspirations.
