Sound (music) · Keyboard (music) · Music theory lessons
I am an active composer, performer and audiovisual artist who believes that the sharing of knowledge and experience is one of the most important and also influential parts of the creative process. We are creative human beings by nature. Are you passionate about sound and would you like to expand your knowledge and perception of music? Would you like to learn how to compose your own music or play the piano? There is never too late to start or to continue with your passion! I believe that education is a dialogue and I adapt the course plan according to the level and the age of students in order to develop their potential. I am always trying to bring the positivity and the zeal for curiosity during the lessons. Depending on your interest I can help you with: Piano: I teach using different methods, according to your needs and goals. I always care about setting up and cultivating a healthy technique of playing, trying to bring a complex approach to interpretation or improvisation. Composition: Basic principles of creating a musical piece, theory of composition, notation (ranging from classical to graphic and open scores), instrumentation, orchestration, arranging, creating electroacoustic music, computer aided composition, recording. Music Theory: Harmony, rhythm, aural skills, music analysis and history of music – those are some of the topics inseparably belonging to music education. Since I have many years of experience of teaching music theory within all levels of education – from basics to advanced – we can find a way how to approach those topics with enthusiasm and creativity and learn as much as possible :)

Piano lessons, Music Theory for children and adults (The Hague)
João
I have been taking private lessons from Joao for more than 6 months and I am completely thrilled with it! Although I am a beginner in piano, I can see that Joao is very knowledgeable in his field. What I like most is that he utilizes technology very effectively to help me understand tricky theoretical concepts. He also prepares tailored exercises for me, which makes me feel very valued. He really puts his time in preparing homeworks and supplementary documents even before and after the class to be sure that I understand what he is teaching. Joao is also quite responsive. He is very flexible in terms of the course content and willing to adapt to my changing needs over time. Still, as a teacher, he keeps in mind what foundations I need to build and he does not lose track of what I want as an ultimate goal, so he comes with a structured curriculum that I realize over time. I can only recommend Joao if you are looking for a dedicated piano teacher who loves what he does.

French Horn (modern / historical) and Music Theory lessons with professional student (The Hague)
Nicolas
I had a great experience with these good lessons! The style of Nicolas' teaching is suitable for every horn player beginner or advanced. It is flexible and even online teaching works well. Nicolas takes the time to explain difficult musical passages and encourages you to perform at your very best. Not only are the lessons very thorough, they also include a good dosis of fun! I felt I learned so much during the lessons and would really recommend taking horn (or natural horn) lessons with Nicolas.

Japanese Tutoring, speaking, listening, writing, reading (The Hague)
Ai
Ai is a wonderful teacher. She's great at explaining all sorts of grammatical concepts and she's sweet with a good sense of humour to boot. I definitely recommend everyone who's interested in learning how to speak, write or read Japanese to consider taking lessons from her. If you're motivated and do the assigned homework, you'll make a lot of progress in a very small period of time. It's only been two weeks, but I already feel like my Japanese has improved considerably!
