RGT is an UK-based music teaching organisation and offers a wide range of internationally recognized exams, in partnership with London College of Music Exams (one of the world's most respected music examination boards, established since 1887) and certificated by the University of West London. If anyone considers taking up the guitar exams and become a qualified guitarist, I can back you up. Any styles, pop/rock/blues/jazz/funk/classical guitar etc. Whatever songs/riffs/comps/(16th note) strumming patterns (lead guitar/rhythm guitar) harmony and music theory, solfeggio(aural) and so on. Lessons will be tailored to you. it's not brain surgery. it's going to be a lot of fun! I can travel to your house or you come to my place. Also Skype lesson would be available. My motto when teaching music: learn with your ear before you understand it with your brain. Music can be explained theoretically as it is traditionally taught in classical music schools. However, I am convinced that the best approach is to learn the music, to feel it and sing it, before theoretically understanding it and interpreting it. I've been playing the piano for over 30 years. I studied classical music for 10 years and jazz for 3 years. I have played in various formations including: classical music, jazz, blues, rock, pop, cabaret, flamenco, latin music, arabic music and electronic music. I have developed a method to learn music theory in an intuitive way. Not only can I show you how to read sheet music, but also how to analyze a piece of music from any genre, how to interpret chords and how to improvise in a simple and effective way. I’m so lucky that I was able to have lessons with Jack during my time in Berlin! He creates such a supportive environment for learning — laid back and calm, yet totally professional. After years of me struggling independently with a few pieces, he was able to show me new ways of approaching the music that transformed even the hardest parts into something accessible. He has a lovely and genuine way of offering encouragement / recognizing progress, while still keeping track of the underlying objective; a more far-reaching arc of improvement. I like how he remembers this larger perspective from week to week (especially when I forget), and finds ways to expertly weave the end goal into incremental, manageable steps. I've just had my first session with George, and I can only recommend him. From the limited information he had, he came well prepared with suitable things to work on. Good paced lesson, and my mistakes were quickly identified and good tips for improvement given. Techniques that I was struggling with were really well demonstrated and explained.
