After studying viola and composition in Italy, I moved to Rotterdam to complete my Master degree at Codarts, which I obtained in 2018. As a freelance musician, I devote most of my time to chamber music and orchestra playing, collaborating with orchestras such La Toscanini di Parma, Sinfonia Rotterdam, FOI Bruno Bartoletti and others. I had the luck to follow lessons and masterclasses by amazing renowned teachers (such as Julia Dinerstein, Alexander and Mikhail Zemtsov, members of the Rotterdam Phil, Maxim Rysanov, Simonide Braconi) realising how the teacher-student relationship is so important and fundamental for the all-round growth of the individual. They taught me that, beside being a form of Art and a job opportunity, Music is pure enjoyment for both mind and soul; its strength is the possibility music gives you to learn about yourself, to express your emotions, to connect with other people, and all in the most enjoyable way ever, which is MAKING MUSIC! If you like a certain style, we will focus on it and develop your playing towards your taste. I've been playing, teaching and studying drums for over 15 years now. I take it very seriously and try to tailor my teaching to every student that I have. I can use my experience as a proffecional musician to make you progress fast and focus on things not every teacher knows from books. In this course we will focus on technique as well as creativity and improvisation (one of the most enjoyable aspects of playing drums). Do you have any other percussion instrument you'd like to expand your knowledge on? I can offer you percussion lessons as well since I have a lot of experience in playing percussion as well. If you want to study with me I can provide a stable program for development for fast results including scores, exercises, etc. About me: As well as teaching, I'm mainly a performer of music - I've been playing drums with different bands as well as classical percussion for more than 15 years now in many different settings. In the last years of my development I've taken a closer look to jazz, pop, hip hop and rock music. I can use my experience to find good qualities in my students and develop them as much as possible. Francisco was an excellent teacher, who firstly took the time and trouble to understand my problems which I had built up in my viola playing. He helped me explore the outcome I was looking for and we discussed how to go about it. He had fully researched the music I was going play and showed me a new insight in to the music we looked at in the lesson. His knowledge of technique was very good and he was able to analysis the problems I was having and discuss practical ways of adjusting them. It was amazing how simply adjusting my shoulder rest could affect both my sound and intonation. He also discussed ways of looking at performance anxiety, and thorough out it all was most pleasant and encouraging.

Our son enjoyed so much a trial with Myrto! She is a very warm and smiley person, great and natural with kids! She was very patient and handled our 5y son wonderfully. It was very nice to have Myrto as she sparked so much joy and love for music. No hesitation to recommend her! In the end we opted for another teacher who spoke Russian to my son and that was an added bonus for us. Otherwise, we would be happy to continue with Myrto!

We were super happy with Francesca ́s lesson! She is such an amazing musician! Also, she really listened to what we wanted to learn and distilled a very complex music piece into something we, absolute beginners, could learn in a short time. We had a lot of fun during the lesson. I would definitely recommend booking a harp lesson with Francesca ! :)
