I teach both in my apartment in the center of Lille and at home. My pedagogy: Having been trained in the great French tradition of the cello, I keep the requirement while advocating an absolute openness to the wishes of my students. The lessons are then a meeting between your desires or needs - whether classical, rock, jazz, pop, tango, samba, need for support lessons - and my determination to help you move forward and make you more and more autonomous. I am also available for music theory lessons. My journey in a few words: The cello has been my companion since I was 6 years old. After starting theater studies, I found my happiness in music. With this dual experience, I now hold the final diploma from the Aubervilliers la Courneuve regional conservatory (CRR 93), and am continuing my studies at the École Supérieure de Musique et de Danse (ESMD) in Lille. I am also a graduate of the Center du Formation du Musicien d'Orchestre (CFMO), which allowed me to train with musicians from the most beautiful French orchestras. Finally, I cultivate a great love for chamber music. In particular, I was able to practice the string quartet, benefiting from the advice of the Voce and Van Kuijk quartets, and the piano trio under the aegis of the Leos trio. A little about me: Born and raised in Hong Kong, my musical journey began at the age of five when I first picked up the violin. At the age of eight, I had the privilege of studying under Mr. Ngai Ho-Chau, the former concertmaster of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Driven by a desire to reach new heights, I earned my LTCL Diploma with Distinction from Trinity London College at eighteen, a milestone reflecting countless hours of dedication. Seeking new perspectives, I pursued advanced studies under the renowned violin maestro Mr. Hwang Wei-Ming at Taiwan SooChow University. There, I immersed myself in the art of violin technique, interpretation, and performance, gaining invaluable experience collaborating with talented musicians. Over the years, I received scholarships to study violin at Taiwan SooChow University and California Baptist University. These opportunities enriched my musical experiences and allowed me to perform in solo, chamber, and orchestral settings. My journey includes performances with ensembles such as the Hong Kong Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, Hong Kong Pro-Arte Orchestra, Taiwan SooChow University Orchestra, and Taiwan Rong-Shing Chamber Orchestra, among others. These experiences continue to inform my approach to teaching, allowing me to provide my students with practical insights and real-world performance techniques. Previously, I taught GCSE Music at Hollingworth Academy and provided violin instruction at The Hathershaw College and Radclyffe School, where I developed a holistic and student-centered teaching approach tailored to each learner's unique needs and goals. Currently, I am dedicated to teaching SEND students at The Peak School, where I strive to create a supportive and calming environment. I often incorporate live violin performances to help my students relax and connect with music on a deeper level. Additionally, I work with private violin students, including young musicians from Manchester High School for Girls and Withington Girls’ School, as well as those preparing for music scholarship auditions at prestigious institutions like London Westminster School. Recently, I had the pleasure of collaborating with Manchester-based artist Emma for her exhibition, Monton in Bloom. This opportunity allowed me to share my music in a creative and inspiring setting.

Eda is a fabulous teacher with a real gift for teaching! I'm so thrilled that we happened to find her for our daughter — in the first lesson alone, she was able to demystify a grand piano for a small child and introduced concepts of rhythm and tone through play. Her approach to music feels magical and filled with wonder, and by the end of the 45 minutes I couldn't help but ask whether Eda also teachers adults (she does!), because I want her as my teacher as well!
