I offer fully online piano lessons in English for teenagers and adults who want thoughtful, structured and serious musical training. My teaching is rooted in the Russian academic piano tradition, but the lessons are not limited to a narrow repertoire path. We can work with classical pieces or other music that is meaningful to the student — including modern, film, anime or jazz-oriented material — as long as the work remains serious, attentive and musically thoughtful. In my lessons, technique, reading, coordination, sound, rhythm, phrasing, memory and expression are connected into one clear musical system. The aim is not only to learn pieces, but to understand how music works from inside: how the ear, mind, hands, body and musical intention come together. I help students develop a deeper relationship with music as a living language — with direction, structure, breathing, sound, emotion and inner logic. The goal is for the student to play not mechanically, but with understanding, freedom, taste and personal expression. I work best with motivated students: serious teenagers, advanced amateurs, returning adults, and learners preparing demanding repertoire, auditions or international exams, including ABRSM. In every case, the focus is on building a complete musical foundation: technique, sound, understanding, expression and confident independent practice. I am a concert pianist and piano educator with more than 20 years of teaching experience. I studied at the Moscow Conservatory College and the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, taught at university level, performed internationally and recorded two CDs for Melodiya. The lessons are structured, precise and demanding, but clear and respectful. My aim is to help each student not only play better, but understand music more deeply and gradually become more independent, intelligent and artistic at the piano.

Hi! I'm Andrés, a clarinetist and aspiring clarinet teacher. I'm currently pursuing a master's degree in music education and preparing for the competitive exams for teaching positions with the goal of becoming a conservatory professor. I have a great passion for both music and teaching, and I dedicate a large part of my time to continuing my education and helping my students achieve their goals: from improving their academic results to getting started in music and enjoying the learning process. For me, every class is also an opportunity for growth. I learn from every student and every experience, which allows me to constantly improve as a teacher and offer increasingly effective and personalized instruction. I work with a fully personalized methodology, adapted to the needs, objectives, and pace of each student. Practice is the central axis of learning, always accompanied by a solid understanding of musical concepts. I provide my own materials, notes, exercises, and scores specifically selected for each level, with the aim of ensuring real and constant progress. One of the cornerstones of my classes is learning through mistakes. Making mistakes is an essential part of the process: I teach students to identify, understand, and correct errors independently, thus developing greater musical and technical awareness. Who are the classes for? My classes are aimed at students of all ages and levels, from musical initiation to professional level. I offer training for both those who want to learn as a hobby and those who are looking for a more professional approach. I specialize in clarinet performance and in preparing students for entrance exams to intermediate level, also teaching music theory classes, including harmony and analysis.

We can start a journey together and find a fun, fulfilling way to learn guitar that’s tailored to your needs. What I Offer: Personalized lessons to suit individual goals Flexible scheduling A variety of genres to explore About Me: I'm from India and moved to Basel to pursue my Bachelor’s in Jazz. I've always had a passion for teaching, and now I’m studying for my Master’s in Pedagogy at Jazzcampus. I’ve performed on stage for many years, learned instruments from different cultures, and taught in an institution both online and in-person. As a freelancer over the past 7 years, I’ve had the chance to teach a wide range of students. Teaching methodology: My goal as a teacher is always to understand the individual needs of each student from multiple perspectives and to build a curriculum that works for them. I strive to recognize the student's relationship with music and gauge how deeply they wish to explore different topics. Additionally, it is important for me to consider the cultural aspect of teaching, as I have worked with both students and teachers from diverse backgrounds. Another key element of my teaching approach is gathering feedback from students, learning from them, and understanding how I can support their growth. Fortunately, I have been surrounded by other teachers with whom I regularly exchange ideas and methods to benefit both myself and my students. I am always interested in meeting new people and exchanging ideas, and always look forward to starting a new journey with each student. I offer lessons in English, German, and Hindi.
