I teach violin to teenagers and adults – from beginners to those returning to playing, and targeted work with advanced players. My teaching combines classical violin pedagogy with principles of the Rolland method. The focus is on natural, economical movements, a reliable technical foundation, and above all, the question: How does technique actually become music? Depending on the goal, we work on bowing technique, intonation, sound, position changes, vibrato, coordination, repertoire, interpretation, performance preparation, or on making one's own practice more efficient. Beginners need no prior knowledge. Advanced students can bring specific pieces, technical problems, or goals. Lessons are individually tailored instead of following a rigid standard program. (For traditional fiddle playing i offer only the basics for beginners) Why should someone choose me? I have a passion for European classical music and I enjoy teaching people of all ages. I am a senior violinist and a graduate of conservatory studies in piano instrument playing and have been involved with both instruments for almost two decades. I'm currently in the process of getting a degree in violin instrument playing which I'll probably get by the next year, I hold a diploma in conservatory studies in piano instruments playing with a perfect grade and with a diploma award and a open jury commendation and have also in the past taken part in piano competitions. I hold a conservatory degree in harmony and counterpoint and fugue all with a grade of excellent from a recognized conservatory and I am now involved in composition having completed all the other higher theoretical courses. In my second leve education i have graduated from the Ilion Music School with a high school diploma, and I have 6+ years of long-term studies at the Department of Music Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA).

My teaching is entirely tailored to each student's needs. I can offer both structured instruction with a progressive program and more flexible support, based on the pieces the student wishes to learn. I am always open to musical suggestions and particularly enjoy working on a repertoire chosen by the student.
