Trusted teacher: Ciao, my name is Ewa Anna and as you can read in my biography I have been playing the violin for more than 30 years. I have more than 20 years of experience in teaching the violin to beginners, intermediate and advanced students of any age. I offer online /webcam violin classes for kids, teenagers, and adults of any level. You can choose between modern and baroque violin. So if you would like to get a new approach and a new point of view on how to study the instrument? Then this is the right place for you! What do you need is to have an instrument, a music stand, a good internet connection and one of the following programs to communicate online: SKYPE, ZOOM, MESSENGER, WHATSUP. Of course, I speak English but also Polish, German and Italian. In the future, you can think of joining my summer academy classes in Italy in Rome or close to Rome and this might also be a good opportunity for an interesting educational vacation in the country of history, art, and music. If you are a beginner, I will provide you with the info on how and where to buy the violin (all online) and if you have your own then it’s even better! I provide you with the scores and necessary materials for the study process! Twice a year I organize workshops in Rome (Italy) to meet you in person and study directly! You are most welcome to participate in these workshops. If there are more students in one country I can travel to your place and teach for a weekend workshop (few times a year) for the group of students at the same location. Once a year we organize a summer school in warm and beautiful Italy (Rome and surroundings) to study with you: violin solo program, chamber music, and Ear Training. Trusted teacher: I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard. My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instill a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student. Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you. A bit about me: Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'. Ewa is an excellent violin teacher, I would highly recommend her to anyone who may wish to learn the violin. I have studied a number of musical instruments, first at High School, and then as an extra-mural during University with a variety of teachers. I decided to take up violin as an adult. Ewa is, by far, one of the best music teachers I have worked with. She is patient, and has been excellent in explaining the importance of fundamentals. While I may be an absolute beginner it is easy to see how the fundamentals being taught will assist when more complex repertoire is attempted. She is also phenomenal at identifying which aspects of playing need focus an attention. It is evident that Ewa is a consummate professional and her wealth of experience is an asset to anyone trying to learn this notoriously complex instrument. I can also say that there is no issue in working by way of an online learning platform.

I've been taking online jazz piano lessons from John for over a month. Despite living on opposite ends of the planet, I've been having a seamless learning experience online and am thoroughly enjoying each lesson. John has a deep knowledge of jazz music and a very friendly personality. We adapt each lesson to whatever I'm burning to learning about and/or whatever blind spot John notices in my playing. I'm provided with sheet music summaries of each lesson that help me structure my practice each week, and I always feel encouraged to learn more. Can't recommend him enough as a teacher!

It was a privilege to have an advanced violin lesson with Alexey while visiting Rome on holiday today. He was so friendly and professional in accommodating me, listening to my technical passage-work, and came up with fingering and bowing solutions which I know would take me a very long time to work out... You couldn’t meet a nicer teacher with fabulous skills, who makes such a beautiful sound on the violin. Alexey is the real deal :-) **** Thank you!
