Music is a higher revelation then all wisdom and philosophy & is the electrical soil in which the spirit lives, thinks and invents // Ludwig van Beethoven. Hello everyone. I am a very passionate and dedicated music educator with over 10 years of experience on the Costa del Sol. We have the option of teaching classes in person at our classroom/studio in Marbella —specially equipped for lessons and with interactive materials and updated educational resources—, as well as traveling to your home along the Costa del Sol, starting from Marbella and going as far as Guadalmina (near Estepona) or Calahonda (near Fuengirola). However you like it or it suits you best ; ) The instruments you can choose to learn are: * CLASSICAL PIANO & MODERN KEYBOARD * GUITAR (ACOUSTIC & ELECTRIC) * LOW * UKULELE * SINGING (INCLUDING MICROPHONE TECHNIQUE) We start from crucial classical foundations and elements of functional harmony, but the style also adapts to the student's musical taste and what they would like to develop musically, whether it be classical pieces from various periods, songs from genres such as Rock, Pop, R&B, Jazz & Blues, Folk, Fusion, as well as music from Movies and Video Games. Here we assess each student's natural strengths and talents to build a personalized repertoire and develop their musical artistry. This, in turn, develops their kinesthetic skills, multiple intelligences, emotional expressiveness and modulation, concentration, self-discipline, and interpersonal skills. The classes are taught in ENGLISH or SPANISH (as the student/client chooses, both at a native/advanced level) with a holistic and comprehensive methodology, developing a balance between the student's innate disposition and their unique preferences in the personalized repertoire we create (whether these are classical instrumental pieces and/or popular contemporary songs, with the added option of singing and playing the instrument in question). We also have essential books and resources on the subject, including classic texts and methods of musical pedagogy from conservatories (Bastien, Alfred, Carcassi, etc.), as well as contemporary methods from modern music schools (Berklee, Hal Leonard, etc.). We also have excellent references from years of teaching experience. Our friends, families, and students have been very happy with our work, and some have even passed exams for conservatories and music schools abroad :)

I am a professional musician with extensive experience as a teacher and in live performances, having participated in numerous concerts and tours covering a variety of musical genres, from blues to rock, pop, fusion or heavy metal. I lived in London for six years. During this time, I recorded three studio albums with collaborations from artists such as Richie Faulkner (Judas Priest) and Paul Quinn (Saxon), and I also toured with numerous bands and artists like Blaze Bayley (ex-Iron Maiden), Sepultura, Grand Magus, and others. This career path has allowed me to develop great versatility and adaptability across different settings and styles, understanding the importance of conveying emotions and connecting with the audience through live performance. Furthermore, I specialize in musical composition, creating custom arrangements, and studio recording, which has given me in-depth knowledge of the music production process, from the initial concept to the final product. I am currently developing a teaching method specifically designed for guitarists, which aims to enhance technical refinement and harmonic understanding applied to the guitar. This method combines practical exercises, music theory, style analysis, and specific techniques so that students can optimize their technique, improve their musical expression, and develop a deeper sense of harmony, thus achieving comprehensive growth in their guitar playing. Additionally, I'm a certified recording, mixing, and mastering technician. I can teach you how to record yourself properly, self-produce your music, and achieve a professional sound. Ultimately, my passion for the guitar goes beyond performance; I am passionate about transmitting all my knowledge, experience, and love for music to my students, helping them discover their potential and develop their own style, with the certainty that solid technique and a deep understanding of harmony are fundamental to growing as complete musicians. I offer both in-person and online classes (English or Spanish), adapting to the needs of each student.

Trusted teacher: It is never too late to start or resume learning piano! My teaching experience makes me a witness to this. Perhaps you came looking for piano lessons because you wish to be able to play some particular pieces, or to develop specific skills. Or maybe you don't know what your goal is yet, but are fond of the sound of the piano and want to dive into this wonderful instrument. Whatever the case, I am looking forward to hearing from you and discussing your next step! I try as much as possible to tailor the work with each individual student aiming at the goals set and the student's musical tastes. This becomes more the case the higher the student's level of experience. Nevertheless, beginners are also encouraged to suggest music for themselves to learn. The work on pieces is combined with other important activities designed to develop finger dexterity, hand coordination, rhythmic sense, music reading, playing by ear, etc. The Cortot, Hanon and scale exercises are some of my frequent choices for the technical work. For young beginners, I defend a no-book approach during the first 2 or 3 months, for three main reasons: it makes learning more fun, it unlocks our creative potential and it allows us to explore the instrument rather confidently and freely. Instead of learning how to read right from the start, students have the opportunity to play games, listen to music, sing, compose, and improvise over backing tracks, developing the core skills necessary for any musical activity later on. After this period, it is then time to introduce them to a method book. The one I recommend the most is Piano Safari. For teenage and adult beginners, the activities described above are selected and adjusted, and theory concepts may be introduced at an earlier stage. If desired, graded level series such as the RSL Classical or Contemporary Piano, among others, may be opted for. Please notice that my scheduling may not always be up to date on this website, so the best way to know my availability is sending me a message. Feel free to get in touch for any other questions as well! Looking forward to meeting you soon, Rodrigo

Tristan - Seville33Fr
Trusted teacher: I offer classes tailored to each individual, depending on their goals and the desired musical aesthetic. As I always say, the important thing is to have fun with the instrument and pass it on to the listener. Having first learned different types of contemporary music such as blues and rock, I specialized in traditional flamenco, with its different styles (palos), its rhythms (compás), its very particular techniques that bring out this very characteristic guitar sound. With 5 years of experience as a teacher, I adapt my lessons to each student for optimal learning. During the first class, we define the areas of work and the methodology to be implemented to achieve your objectives and fully develop your potential. The course is designed for students from beginner to advanced level, and allows you to approach all the essential elements of playing the instrument in a fun way. For flamenco: - the rhythm (with the different types of compasses relating to each palo) - the characteristic techniques of flamenco guitar and their application through falsetas or exercises (rasgueos, arpeggios, thumb technique, tremolo, ligado, picado, ...) - the harmony of the different flamenco hats - the accompaniment of the song with its keys and codes - courses intended to accompany dance For blues and rock: - the rhythm and specific cadences - pick techniques - bending, hammer/pull-off effects, etc. - improvisation/composition of solos With my help, you will gain a deeper understanding of technique, rhythm, music theory, and most importantly, a deeper understanding of the instrument itself! All of these elements will allow you to feel freer when studying a piece or composing your own music.

I have taken my first lesson with Lynette and it was a great experience. I have been singing for some time at a choir, but have no formal training and want to learn the fundamental technique, and also work on some of the pieces we sing at the choir. The lesson was very practical, dynamic and she pays great attention to detail. After the class I could feel the improvement on the areas we have covered and felt much more confident on my skills. Highly recommended!

AMAZING! Francesca has a calm energy, she listens to your needs, dreams, and style, and creates unique lessons suited to you. I had zero piano knowledge and near-zero musical knowledge and Francesca met me where I was, musically speaking. I highly recommend Francesca's lessons!
