Trusted teacher: Hello Flutist!! How are you doing during these pandemic times? Hope you are well and safe!! I am Marcio. Welcome to my Apprentus profile! First of all, I am a specialized and fully dedicated Online Teacher. I have been teaching online since the very beginning of the covid pandemic. Since then, I have developed a lot of my way of working. All my lessons are run on Skype which works amazingly well for both video and audio. Also, to enrich the quality of the audio from my students, I very often use a pair of professional headphones which give me amazing high definition sound and articulation of the student. I also work on my iPad with the Apple Pencil and using the share screen resource I can demonstrate and draw on music sheets and methods that I am working with the student at that moment. I simply love it and most of the time it really feels much better than a lesson in person due to all these technological possibilities. My students and I have a lot of fun, you can count on that! I also have a number of Pricing Plans for weekly lessons that will lower the cost of the lesson considerably! My METHODOLOGY I use a methodology that I have developed over the years of practicing and teaching both my students and myself. It’s called: PRIORITY FOCUS. PRIORITY FOCUS basically is a non-multi tasking way of learning a musical instrument allowing time and space for us to learn and fully conquer one ability at a time. We start at the very basic aspects of posture, fingering, and embouchure, and climb our way up to the most detailed techniques and musical expressions. One Flute-playing ability at the time. This methodology is constructed on what I consider to be the two main subjects in Music learning and playing, what I call THE PILLARS OF MUSIC: MUSICALITY AND INSTRUMENTAL TECHNIQUE Both intermix and coexist in a single dimension, but in terms of studying and progressing, I find that separating them is essential to accelerate and solidify my students’ learning and my own. MUSICALITY encompasses aspects such as musical phrases, vibrato, dynamics, tone colors, improvisations, music theory, harmony, and style: CLASSICAL, JAZZ, FUNK, POP, SAMBA, and BOSSA-NOVA, all of which I have KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE. In INSTRUMENTAL TECHNIQUE, in our case, FLUTE TECHNIQUE, we have elements such as posture, embouchure, fingerings, breathing, articulation, tonguing, and music reading. To work on these aspects with my students I use several distinctive Flute Methods, from the most TRADITIONAL to the most MODERN ones, as well as INNUMEORUS EXERCICES that I have specifically developed for Flute technical improvements from years of experience as a Flutist, Student, and Teacher. I also use many teachings from distinct areas such as Yoga for FOCUS and RELAXATION, Alexander technique for Posture and BALANCE, and Philosophical spiritual schools for MOTIVATION. Let’s also not forget the intense work that’s is done on the REPERTOIRE OF THE STUDENT’S TASTE. I provide all materials from my vast library completely TO MY STUDENTS. I confess that there is nothing in the world, besides being with my wife and daughter, that I love more than playing and teaching about Music and the Flute. I am an extremely PATIENT, ENTHUSIASTIC, DEDICATED, AND CARING TEACHER. MOTIVATION is the key and I GUARANTEE that you’ll leave motivated after each lesson.

Trusted teacher: Lets work together and get those music skills better, shall we?😜 My name is Juan, I am a Spanish born flutist that works internationally, and nowadays I'm based in Rotterdam. I have already finished two Master degrees and a Bachelor with some of the worlds best professors and institutions: Robert Winn in the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln (Germany), and Jacques Zoon in Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía (Madrid). Since many years, I work and collaborate with many different symphony orchestras as principal flute, soloist or piccolo flute, as well as with chamber music groups and ensembles. You can check the links below to listen some of my performances! :) I have a very wide teaching experience. I've been teaching for around 10 years now, in many different institutions: high development schools, orchestras, private schools, private students... and nowadays live and/ or online! I can teach all flute levels, from initiation to preparation for bachelor, master or orchestral auditions. I have a wide knowledge of the repertoire, and I've worked on it with many of the best flutists we have today: Formisano, Baerten, Grehl, Franz... Feel free to contact me to organice a personalized lesson, or just to know me a little bit more! Lessons can be at my home (Delfshaven-Rotterdam), online or at your home (after figuring out traveling expenses, etc. At my place, I have a very big space where covid security measures can be perfectly applied (even for a flute lesson!) A really good flute teacher who sets interesting challenges to motivate practising the flute every day and independently. She also has plenty of up-to-date ideas combining different material sources (including digitals! top notch teacher with IT!) according to my needs and interests. She teaches me a lot of very useful tips for my level and I can hear a clear difference from a lesson to another. Yet, no miracle either: you must practice! But with the right instructions, she can help you pass obstacles you may have thought they were impossible to overcome. And playing the flute becomes a mere pleasure and joyful challenge! Besides, she never allows you to rest in your comfortable zone! There are always plenty of interesting and useful things to learn with great pleasure rather than with pain and stress! Thank you so much Malvina! Looking forward to our future lessons!

We clicked from the moment we met. I enjoy working with her. Started to improve from the first lesson. Working with her is a lot of fun but at the same time very informative. I would highly recommend Cecile and the best part is that she speaks english.

Great experience taking a class on the Ney. She is friendly and explains the concepts and practice exercises comprehensively with a good pace depending on the student's level. I would be more than happy in recommending or taking more classes.
