Being well classically trained, I can help you build a solid violin technique and prepare you for giving your best during important music occasions such as exams, auditions, concerts etc. Also, being member of pop - oriental bands with concerts around Belgium, France and Greece, having played with several classical and contemporary music ensembles and orchestras, as well as coming from a family of musicians, my lessons are ideal for students who want to learn to be at ease when they eventually make music with others. :) All pieces can be taught either by ear, music scores or BOTH!! Teaching you basic and/or more advanced music theory to facilitate your violin learning if you don't know yet how to read and write music, can be easily done! My personal experience with music psychology and body movement techniques for musicians have enriched my knowledge and teaching skills. Extra attention is given during the lessons to not only help you build a strong and steadfast technique and develop your music ear, but also to acquire a confident presence and attitude for when you play for others! I teach both in my apartment in the center of Lille and at home. My pedagogy: Having been trained in the great French tradition of the cello, I keep the requirement while advocating an absolute openness to the wishes of my students. The lessons are then a meeting between your desires or needs - whether classical, rock, jazz, pop, tango, samba, need for support lessons - and my determination to help you move forward and make you more and more autonomous. I am also available for music theory lessons. My journey in a few words: The cello has been my companion since I was 6 years old. After starting theater studies, I found my happiness in music. With this dual experience, I now hold the final diploma from the Aubervilliers la Courneuve regional conservatory (CRR 93), and am continuing my studies at the École Supérieure de Musique et de Danse (ESMD) in Lille. I am also a graduate of the Center du Formation du Musicien d'Orchestre (CFMO), which allowed me to train with musicians from the most beautiful French orchestras. Finally, I cultivate a great love for chamber music. In particular, I was able to practice the string quartet, benefiting from the advice of the Voce and Van Kuijk quartets, and the piano trio under the aegis of the Leos trio. It was the first time my son took a violin lesson through skype (I had my reservations using this media) but it worked out fine. Miguel is a great violin teacher, giving clear guidance and encouragement. He is friendly, patient and very knowledgeable. It was not that much different from a 'life' lesson. We used an ipad beside the music stand so the teacher had a good view of my son.

Pedro is really experienced and flexible teacher with a big repertoir and a variety of music styles. We focused on jazz guitar and learned standard compositions. Pedro was able to find good examples and songs for what I needed to learn and adjusted them for our lessons. It certainly boosted my jazz guitar skills and getting started with improvising.
