Trusted teacher: The CVT Complete Vocal Technique is a pioneering and innovative method of singing practice created in Denmark by Cathrine Sadolin twenty years ago, adopted by thousands of amateur and professional singers around the world. First, you have the possibility of increasing your comfort by applying the 3 basic principles for a healthy voice: Support, Twang and opening of the mouth. Then, it is a question of choosing the character of sound that you want to produce, by modifying the adjustment (the shape) which you give to your vocal tract (zone of the larynx, the mouth and the lips), one speaks then the mode in which you sing. -There is the Neutral mode which refers to soft sounds. -The Curbing mode whose sounds are a little louder and restrained. -Overdrive mode for loud and powerful sounds. -And finally the Edge mode for loud and sharp sounds. Anyone can use the 4 modes and switch between them. When you are in control and know the limitations, advantages and disadvantages of each of these modes, you will in fact be able to sing exactly what you want. You have access to several tools to acquire these new skills and this in-depth understanding of your voice. Before committing yourself, I would like you to think about your motivation, whether you are a beginner, an amateur or a professional, I work exclusively with people who are involved in their learning process.

Trusted teacher: For voice students, my teaching method will depend on which genre of music you are interested in pursuing. A few that I teach most frequently are classical, opera, and Broadway. On your first lesson, we will go over the basics of good breathing and posture, figure out your voice type, what genre of voice you want to pursue, and from there, I will choose a piece for you to begin working on, and starting with that piece, you will continue to learn how to improve your voice in amazing ways! I have learned that being immersed in the world of music is vital for being a good teacher. Musicians who only teach and do not “cross-train” by performing on their instruments regularly and continuing learning simply do not have as much to offer to their students. I pursue all of these avenues actively, not only for my own benefit, but also for that of my students. My primary goal as a teacher is to be a motivating and inspiring mentor and guide. As the famous Chinese proverb says, a teacher opens the door, but students must enter by themselves. My highest aspiration is to show my students doors that they never knew existed, and giving them the tools to go through those doors on their own.

Trusted teacher: My students can expect to improve their skills and start to enjoy music more as we work together. I believe that learning music is fun and enjoyable. However you also need to be serious and focused. I can demonstrate various and specific techniques, phrasing, and interpretation and will always coach on how to develop your skills. However, I feel it is important for students to think critically on their own and take the first try at solving a problem themselves. I cannot emphasize enough that primarily it is you who find the ways to improve. Leaning music is a collaboration between teachers and students. I hope that through my lessons, students will become more self-sufficient and confident as musicians. Let me help you become a better musician.

Trusted teacher: Vocal health and freedom come from practicing techniques that enhance the voice and allow for exploring different styles. My goal is to help students gain confidence, understand how they can properly care for their voices while attempting a wide array of songs, and refine their delivery so that they can make an impact on the audience. I work for hands on with workshopping vocal choices and bringing out different colors and tones in the student's voice.
