I am glad that many of my students have achieved good results in examinations, including ABRSM and Trinity College London Grades and Diploma exams, and winning prizes in competitions, including Holmfirth Musical Festival, Newcastle-U-Lyme Festival of Music, Leamington Spa Competitive Festival, Hounslow Festival of Music, Longwell Green & Kingswood Performing Arts Festival, Coulsdon and Purley Festival, Basingstoke Music Festival, and more. I consider myself to be a wide-ranging opera and concert soloist. Besides teaching singing privately for more than 10 years, I was also a music tutor at Parkland Music Limited, Greenery Music & Arts Centre and Canon Music & Arts Centre in Hong Kong. In 2016, I have successfully organized "No Vocalists Allowed" opera workshop, and coached non-vocal major students to sing and perform an opera scenes concert at the New Lecture Theatre at Birmingham Conservatoire. I have also worked as an assistant vocal coach in K. Wah Opera Hong Kong summer school programme 2017, where I trained young performers to participate in Elf the Musical Jr production.

My specialties are: teaching opera voice and kids’ vocality. For both of these, any level, even absolute beginner is 100% welcome! I’ve been training children and teens ever since I graduated from my position at La Scala children choir at 18 years old. I have helped so many access to the children choirs of their respective cities, and with so many many others I have simply participated in their musical learning journey, which makes me equally proud and happy. Not just a singing teacher, but by the way also the best vocal coach you can get hold of at this moment and in this area of the Netherlands (so take your chance...;-)). For about 3 years I had a serious problem with my vocal chords (incomplete closure) and a dislocated larynx. I started to be in contact with Stefano by chance asking him to show me some (singing) exercises additionally to my treatment at the ENT-department of Martini Ziekenhuis Groningen as well as an ongoing therapy at a professional trained speech therapist. To cut a long story short: Within a couple of lessons and dedicated exercises he succeeded in re-positioning my larynx and got rid of my incomplete vocal cords closure, meanwhile the medical specialists had decided that the only cure could possibly be an operation... As a ‘side-effect’ I am now able to sing and control my voice like I have never been able before and could never have imagined that this was possible to achieve by just some simple but individually chosen exercises and practice. Marloes does an excellent job of understanding the student's needs and goals. Always attentive during the lessons, she provides clear/targeted feedback on areas of improvement and actively listens to your singing.
