Mar - Houten44€
Trusted teacher: Looking for a piano teacher? In Utrecht you will find the friendly Spanish professional pianist Mar. She lives in Utrecht and studies at the Rotterdam Codarts Conservatory of Music, and has already a master's degree from the Utrecht Conservatory (with pedagogical training as well) She teaches in English, Spanish, Italian, German and soon in Dutch. Lessons can take place at your place or at my place (in the centre of Utrecht) as I have a beautiful grand piano at my disposal. In Utrecht (and surroundings) Houten, Vleuten, De Mern, Amsterdam and Rotterdam. For young, teenagers and adults, all levels, no previous experience necessary. Hallo allemaal! My name is Mar and I am a 26-year-old professional pianist (with pedagogical training) graduated from the master degree in Classical Piano Performance as soloist at the Utrecht Conservatory, now studying a second master in Piano Performance in Rotterdam, Codarts. I have been working for 12 years as a piano and music teacher (I started very very young, when I was 14 years old, because I always liked teaching): I have experience in private lessons and official state music schools, with children from 2 years and adults of all levels, both individually and in groups. I have taught piano, music and movement for children, music theory, solfeggio and choir. I finished my bachelor studies with the highest marks, I have experience as a concert performer and have won many international prizes in competitions as well as scholarships prizes. I hope to have the pleasure that we both learn by making music together, do not hesitate to contact me! Flexible timetable and teaching adapted to the student's preferences

Trusted teacher: Let’s begin your musical journey! Perhaps this is the first time you are playing an instrument? Or you are picking it up having played it years ago. Perhaps you have a dream of where or what you would like to play...or want to improve specific skills to simply enjoy playing more. My aim is to create a path with you (or your child), to discover and develop ways to achieve your own musical goals. I offer 30-minute instrumental lessons – these are aimed at beginner students to build stamina, posture and basic playing techniques. You can combine this with an additional 30 minutes of musicianship, this is for children to build a solid foundation of musical skills –including rhythm, note reading and pitch, composition, tempo and more. Group lessons are possible for beginner players, these can be a fun and motivating way of learning together for students, however these would be regularly reviewed to ensure learning needs of each student are met. I would recommend 60-minute lessons for intermediate student/adult students – this is to work on more complex musical skills, exercises and pieces. Goals for lessons: Making music from day 1 Exploring and refining the craft of playing the instrument Setting reachable goals to build stamina, technique and musicianship Developing ‘inner ear’ with aural exercises Learning musical notation/composition Casual performance opportunities solo or in a group (if desired) Most importantly...having fun! About me... I have worked in instrument music education at schools, academies and privately for the last 12 years, whilst playing professionally as a freelance violin/viola player and conductor with orchestras, musicals and in community music settings in England. I thoroughly enjoy teaching, and base my approach on the needs of the student, using experience in different schools of music teaching - including traditional classical Suzuki and Kodaly principles to more modern day improvisation focussed educators such as Christian Howes and Bobby McFerrin. Lessons available in English and Dutch. Do get in touch if you have any questions!

Vivian - Culemborg52€
Trusted teacher: Hi! My name is Vivian and all students are welcome! I focus on musical and technical development, can also accompany my students on the piano, practice playing together and teach the students who are ready for it some music theory. Recitals are organized to work towards something, learn to perform and listen to each other. If the student is ready for it, I will guide in finding orchestras and ensemble opportunities. Students can also get in touch with each other to get a click and start playing together. With my educational skills I have also given violin workshops to primary and secondary schools through Het Residentieorkest and I have worked as a substitute teacher at the learning orchestra The Residents several times. At the conservatory I have followed education lessons and the Kodály course Music as a Profession. Beginners usually start with a half hour lesson and if the teacher or the student notices that this is too short for the current development, the lesson time is increased to 45 minutes or 60 minutes in consultation. The student must provide a violin himself. A violin can be rented or purchased and I can give advice and help with this. Furthermore, the student must purchase a music stand, a lesson book and new strings every few months. Send me a message if you are interested, have questions, want to meet or would like to try a trial lesson. I think it would be great to get started on the violin together, discover beautiful music and have fun with it! (Tip: be quick because my teaching practice is often full)

Mary has been great in our interactions. At the moment, we are meeting twice a week for an hour each session. She started with a class in which we got to know each other and she listen to my goals. Then, she prepared exercises and lessons specially designed to help me reach those goals with practice and also prepared lessons to help me continue growing as a guitar player. Moreover, she goes often out of her way to get songs challenging to my level, but that are doable with enough practice. In all, I am enjoying quite a lot of our classes and I am always looking forward to them.

My first set of lessons were really great and I will definitely take more. I came in as a beginner and in every lesson Gala helped me make meaningful progress step by step. She is also very encouraging, motivating and playful during the lessons. Even if at times you just practice fundamental motions without using note sheets, if she's not actively giving feedback she will improvise to play along with you. Learning and playing with her always ends up being fun.

Mar is a great piano teacher who helped me to understand the character of the piece I was working on. Her focus on dynamics and tempo added depth to my interpretation, and her efficient teaching style offered quick solutions for my technical improvement. Her attitude was positive and encouraging as well.
