My teaching method is the result of the synthesis of my experience as a singer and the many and diverse courses of study followed. The lesson is structured in two parts: the first half devoted to vocal technique, the second half to the musical repertoire and the learning of musical language (jazz or pop or other genre). The vocal technique that I propose is a basic technique for all types of modern singing: from postural education to the care of breathing, from the use of the abdominal muscles, to the emission of air up to the cavities of resonance. We will work on the sound, on the extension of the voice, on the high and low notes, on the passage of register, on the control, on the power and the agility. Sarit Aloni is a professional musician with 25 years of teaching experience, teaching singing, piano, Music Theory (ABRSM and in general) composition and arranging. Through the years she has frequently performed as a soloist in concert halls, in a duet with classic guitar and with various orchestras. Sarit also worked as a professional piano accompanists to various choirs and soloists, and currently is the musical director of two adult choirs, one based in London, and the second in Wiltshire, UK. Not just a singing teacher, but by the way also the best vocal coach you can get hold of at this moment and in this area of the Netherlands (so take your chance...;-)). For about 3 years I had a serious problem with my vocal chords (incomplete closure) and a dislocated larynx. I started to be in contact with Stefano by chance asking him to show me some (singing) exercises additionally to my treatment at the ENT-department of Martini Ziekenhuis Groningen as well as an ongoing therapy at a professional trained speech therapist. To cut a long story short: Within a couple of lessons and dedicated exercises he succeeded in re-positioning my larynx and got rid of my incomplete vocal cords closure, meanwhile the medical specialists had decided that the only cure could possibly be an operation... As a ‘side-effect’ I am now able to sing and control my voice like I have never been able before and could never have imagined that this was possible to achieve by just some simple but individually chosen exercises and practice. I am having a great time with Zuzanna. She is clearly very knowledgeable and skilled as well as an encouraging teacher. Her approach is focused on fundamentals of singing technique making sure that the tonal placement is correct but she also keeps it light and responds to requests from the student on what to work. Furthermore it helps that her own sound is absolutely gorgeous and she can demonstrate the principles taught with ease.
