Trusted teacher: Lessons for all ages. Harp, piano, music theory. I graduated from the KMC Gent and have a career/experience of more than 40 years. I also followed yoga, mindfulness and kinesiology courses. The combination of playing an instrument with mindfulness opens up many possibilities. During the lessons for harp or piano you learn the necessary technique, and musicality is taken into account. The better the technical skill, the more fluidly the musicality can unfold. No previous knowledge of ear training is required for the instrument. Gradually you learn to read the notes. For those who wish, I give AMV (General Musical Education) Here you practice extra on reading, rhythm, general & specific hearing exercises, and theoretical knowledge. Those who are going to higher music studies and experience a gap in music theory can come to me for specific training. I also guide students for solfège who are taking their entrance exam for KMC and also during their student trajectory. Here is more explanation. The lessons are individual and adapted to each student. For toddlers aged 4 to 6 who are learning to play the piano, I follow a method based on a musical fairy tale. It is a method that meets the child's world of experience. They discover the possibilities of the instrument and the way of writing songs. Step by step they learn to play and sing songs on the piano. For harp I can advise to start at 6 years. Fingers at 4 years are still too tender to pluck strings. 6 years is a better age to start harp playing. They play on a small instrument that is appropriate for their age. For children who start from the age of 7, I use a different method book for piano and the child's world of experience is also taken into account. For children who start playing the harp at that age, the method book is also aimed at the child. The method books are therefore tailored to the age and capabilities of the child, teenagers and adults. For students at the college who are going to study music professionally, the subject 'music theory' is included in the curriculum. In case of shortcomings in music theory, the specific needs are updated. Both theory, lecture in G and F clef, performance of rhythm in all time signatures, rhythm dictation, intonation training, intonation dictation, recognition of intervals melodic and harmonic, rhythmic-melodic dictation can be updated to make up for deficiencies. I can guide students in music as a hobby, as well as in music professionally.

Tine - Ghent54€
Trusted teacher: PIANO Foundation First we start with the music theory, melody and chords. These are the essential building blocks for making music. Style Next we apply stylistic tools to bring the music to life. This could include jazz chords, blues riffs, walking bass lines, and more. Skills We learn the skills (soloing, ear training, accompaniment, improvisation, lead sheets, analysis...) Following this approach, you will finally understand the music that you are playing, and you will be able to apply the techniques to hundreds of other songs. CVT COACHING Hi! I am Tine, a singer, voice teacher and vocal coach. I am passionate about helping singers to make the most of their singing practice so they can thrive, grow, and become the powerful performers and communicators the world needs today. I can help you train your voice and keep it healthy, develop your own unique sound, sing across different styles, manage performance anxiety, be authentic on stage, deliver powerful presentations, make more efficient goals and help you reach them. It is possible to create all the sounds from all the styles / genres in a healthy way! CVT METHOD? Singing is not that difficult and everybody can learn to sing. CVT divideds the singing techniques into four main subjects. By combining elements of these four subjects, you can produce precisely the sounds you want. You will also be able to pinpoint your specific problems and mistakes, and you can focus on which techniques you wish to work on. The four main subjects are: The three overall principles – to ensure healthy sound production The four vocal modes – to choose the ‘gear’ you want to sing in. Sound colours – to make the sound lighter or darker. Effects – to achieve specific sound effects.

Roy - Melle36€
Trusted teacher: hey! Drum Roy here. I would like to introduce myself I like to share my passion for percussion to anyone who also has the itch to get started with percussion. Percussion is a collective name for musical instruments such as a drum set, xylophone, marimba, vibraphone, timpani, glockenspiel... But also percussion instruments such as bongos, congas, triangle, cowbell, woodblock, cymbals, tambourine, bass drum, snare drum... You play percussion with a lot of feeling and a striking technique. At a young age I started taking music lessons at the Art Academy. After a first year of solfège I got the itch to take percussion. I was immediately taken aback! Ke Boom Tsss! 😀 After completing primary and secondary education at the Art Academy, I took private drum lessons to specialize even more. Besides percussion, I also play guitar and piano. Do you also feel itchy? Please don't hesitate to contact me. 👉 Tailor-made drum lessons for young and old 👈 There is no age limit for learning an instrument. Young or old, anyone who is eager to learn an instrument will also be able to do it. If you have knowledge of solfège or of another instrument, this is included. But that is certainly not a must. You don't need any knowledge of music to learn drums. Just a lot of sense and passion! Are you a novice? Then we start the lessons at your pace. You indicate which songs you like to hear and which you want to play. We build that together by starting with the basic techniques, a bit of theory, rhythm exercises and then moving on to grooves and fils. From the first lesson you can already play simple music tracks. Do you already have some drumming experience? Then together we look at where there is still progress and where you want to go. Do you prefer funk or blues music or another genre? We adapt the lessons to your wishes. Do you feel itchy? Then don't hesitate and start with drum lessons. 👉 Djembe is a real emotional instrument 👈 Djembe is a really cool instrument that you play with a lot of feeling. There are many sounds in there to discover. When you play djembe in a band, it gives a certain groove to the song. You add something extra and help determine the rhythm of the song. Cool African rhythms or something funky? Then everything is possible. I teach you how to play this instrument, with the right hand techniques, where the sounds are and how you are an extra dimension for the band. Do you want to learn djembe? Then don't hesitate and contact me. Together we will create a plan tailored to your needs. 👉 Percussion is rhythm 👈 If you have a sense of rhythm, then percussion is definitely for you. But even if you think you don't have a sense of rhythm, I can make sure, by using certain techniques, that you can still keep your beat. During an art and creative camp I give percussion workshops to young people aged 8 to 12 years. The aim is to introduce the young people to rhythmic instruments. I teach them to listen to a song to find out where the percussion instruments are. I teach them percussion techniques and how they conjure the sounds out of an instrument. But the most important thing is of course that the young people have fun playing a djembe, cymbal, boomwhackers, drum, cajon, ... Percussion is the collective name for all percussion instruments in a band or orchestra. These instruments are mainly accompaniment instruments. It gives rhythm to the song. Do you also feel itchy? Then don't hesitate to contact me. Regards, Roy

Trusted teacher: Hello dear aspiring cellists! My name is David and I recently live in Ghent. I started playing the cello when I was barely 3 and have since received a range of teachers and techniques that I would like to share with you! For example, I have been a regular student at various concervatories since I was 13, such as the KCB and CRB in Brussels, KCA antwerpen, CvA Amsterdam, ... With teachers such as Didier, Marie Hallynck, Walter Grimmer, Edmont Baert, Justus Grimm, Lâzlo Fenyö, Claudio Bohorquez, Jeroen Reuling, Olsi Leka, Jerôme Pernoo, Dimitri Ferschtmann, Vladimir Perlin, ... in both French, Russian, German and Belgian cello schools. I am also a winner and laureate of many national and international competitions from Belgium to Bulgaria and have a rich experience in chamber music and solo recitals with organizations such as the Flanders Festival, the Musique de Chambre de Wallonie, the Arte Amanti festival, etc. with national and international artists and colleagues. and as a soloist with orchestra. (concertos such as Shostakovitch, Shumann, Haydn, Tchaikovsky's rococo etc). Recently I also do more and more studio work outside the classical genre. I have also been giving private lessons to advanced and less advanced aspiring professional and enthusiastic amateurs for years and I provide coaching for exams and competitions. Do you really want to master your instrument and be able to stand on stage full of confidence, or just that little bit extra for a smashing exam or competition? Then you are in the right place! I do not believe in a fixed structure for all students, as each person is organized differently, so a personal approach is guaranteed according to the needs of each of my students. Since my current place of residence is not easy to teach, I currently only work on the move. Best regards David

Dirk - Ghent42€
Trusted teacher: The (viola da) gamba is a bowed string instrument that was popular from the mid-16th to the mid-18th century. Like the recorder, the instrument comes in a variety of sizes, from small instruments in the register of the violin to large double bass ones. The best known and most commonly used type is the bass viol. The bass viol can best be described as a cross between a cello and a guitar: the tuning and left hand technique are close to the guitar, but playing position and bowing are reminiscent of the cello. Film buffs know the instrument from the movie 'Tous les Matins du Monde' in which the gamba music of Ste. Colombe and Marin Marais is central. The instrument is also known through the passions of JS Bach, in which it plays a prominent role. But the instrument also has a rich and diverse repertoire, ranging from late renaissance to early classical and an increasing number of contemporary pieces. I studied gamba at the royal conservatory in The Hague with Wieland Kuijken. In the meantime I have about 30 years of experience in giving gamba lessons to children, young people and adults, ranging from absolute beginners to advanced players. In addition to the technique and the interpretation of the music on the instrument, I also offer support in the field of music theory and the historical context of the music. In addition to private lessons, I also teach gamba at music academy 'De Poel' in Ghent, the Municipal Conservatory of Bruges and KASK & Conservatory of Ghent.
