Trusted teacher: No, we don't think that being able to sing is absolutely necessary for actors. Not every actor or actress has the ambition to appear in a musical and not every series or film features singing. Still, vocal coaching is a good idea... whether you want to learn to sing or not! With your course fee you can participate in any of our courses whenever you want. This way you can not only learn to act, but also taste our courses in debate and presentation techniques (our TV course), communication, singing, improvisation, 'physical acting', lie detection, hypnosis, directing, or writing! Of course, the following applies: the more you follow 1 particular course, the faster you progress. More info Anyone who has ambitions as a singer or who wants to expand his or her skills to make it easier to land a role will soon end up taking singing lessons... but also those who have no intention of ever performing songs. can benefit greatly from vocal coaching. You often have to be on set for a long time and then it is important to use your voice properly, so that it does not get tired and you can speak as powerfully after hours of recording as before. Finally, it is very useful to be able to put different effects on your voice. Just think of the raspy character of Gollum in The Lord of the Rings, the barking explanations of Samson, the full voice of Kabouter Plop or the grunted insults exchanged in The Chronicles of Sabrina. Judiciously used voice effects can not only add color to characters, they are sometimes essential or almost automatically arise from emotional moments. So being able to use them correctly and maintain control over them without damaging your vocal cords is essential. What you learn As is the case with almost all of our courses, we teach you techniques from different approaches. For our singing lessons, these are Speech Level Singing (SLS), Estill Voice Training (EVT) and Complete Vocal Technique (CVT). Here are some things that will pass in review: • The similarities and differences between the three major singing techniques • Using support • The larynx, lips, and other organs that help control voice production • Add necessary twang • Add air or not • Different vocal modes (with CVT): neutral, curbing, overdrive and edge. • Variety of voice effects including: creaking, distortion, grunting, rattling, screaming, vibrato and ornamentation • For actors: relationship between voice color, effects and the playing of all kinds of characters • For actors: the relationship between stem kle Extras • Help with the CV • Assistance with admissions • Help in choosing the right equipment • Help with finding auditions • Syllabus with pdf of the book Complete Vocal Technique You can participate whenever you want!

Trusted teacher: Courses and Training: Graduated in Musicology, my specialization in Singing at the IMEP (Conservatory of Namur) and in accompanying music on the accordion led me after my studies to give singing lessons in a music school (Cap sur le Music in Kraainem), as well as musical awakening in different schools, via Les Jeunesses Musicales. Being also an ethnomusicologist, I like to work with repertoires from other horizons, both singing and accordion. Currently working part-time at Outhere Music (production and distribution house of classical and jazz music), I have the chance to discover on a daily basis a large quantity of various repertoires, likely here to be the subject of discoveries for the student, depending on their different future artistic aspirations. Passionate about CVT (complete vocal technique) since 2021 and trained in postural and psycho-behavioural muscle chains (GDS method), my goal is to get the student to explore his vocal universe as broadly as possible, while increasing his body awareness with each lesson. Approach & repertoire: I attach great importance to body awareness, presence and movement, as well as the overall well-being of the student. Having also followed a training in Mindfulness, I like to mix a therapeutic approach with the artistic work accomplished with the student. Starting from the student's musical desires and aspirations is also essential for me. I therefore aim for personalized support that respects its own achievement objectives. My methodology aims at learning the technique through play and body movement, both for singing lessons and musical awakening. No prerequisite in music is necessary (neither music theory nor other). Musical Awakening for children (individual or semi-collective – from 1 to 6-7 years old): With young children, I try to multiply awakening approaches using senses other than just hearing, both by learning gesture songs and rhythmic activities. The activities of dance or development of the ear by listening are of course omnipresent. I work on psychomotricity and seek to discover new instruments, as well as the different repertoires which are connected to them. I work on several levels (passive and active) and different scales of difficulty according to ages and possible interactions in small groups, in order to anchor learning and awakening over time. Breath work is also on the program.

Benoît

Benoit is a natural teacher and I think has the rare quality to empathise with his students. So whether he is teaching young children, bright adults or struggling grown ups like myself he can sense your difficulties and intuitively develop your skills. I found his manner easy, engaging and with just the right amount of challenge to make you feel progress and confident. To my surprise we spent the first half hour conversing in French. At the end of the lesson he can me work sheets he’d thought about and prepared himself. I would wholeheartedly recommend Benoit. Bravo Benoit. Ian

Yulia

rating green star
I started to take classes with Yulia, because my voice has become rusty after not singing for many-many years. I sought her expert advice to know whether there was still hope for me to join a choir. After 3 sessions with her I can say that I really appreciate her professionalism, her gentle approach, her honesty and her encouragement. I am glad that I found her!

My lessons with Laura have been fantastic. She goes into a lot of detail, which really helps me improve, but always keeps the lessons fun and enjoyable. She also speaks perfect English, which makes everything really easy to follow. I feel like I have really learnt a lot and I am continuing to improve after each lesson.
