Trusted teacher: Are you a beginner?? No worries: no experience is required! 😁 I can teach you the basics to produce sounds with your saxophone: position of the embouchure (teeth, tongue, lips and vocal cords' position, an element often forgotten), fingerings, use of diafragma,... After the first two lessons spent on the mouthpiece and neck for the sound production, we will immediately start to play some super easy duos together to practice your capacity of listening, pay attention to the other, ear training as well. I normally use the book of Peter Wastall (titled Learn as you play) as support, but it is not mandatory. There are plenty of good books btw! Are you an intermediate / advanced student?? I am sure you can still improve in all the basics, but on a different level. I'll teach you the importance of the "voicing" (technique named by the american saxophonist and pedagogue Donald Sinta) to improve your sound production and projection as well as the capacity of correcting and improving the intonation. You can learn all about phrasing and music interpretation, from tonal music until contemporary atonal compositions. And still, you can improve your playing together, practicing in duo on different aspects like tuning, balance, interpretation, performance etc. Book a lesson and try! Emidio is a fantastic saxophone teacher. He provides you with the feedback you need to learn many things at the same time: He gives you tips for a good embouchure and shows you how to blow a proper tone. He teaches you how to play in tune and introduces you to tone articulation on the saxophone, when you are ready for it. He guides your own practice efficiently, so you can be certain to not loose time. In addition, you learn to read notes and a lot about music in general. Emidio is a kind, patient, supportive and encouraging saxophone teacher, who is ready to reply to whatever question you throw at him. Emidio communicates well and is clear. Giorgos has continually shown in every class I've taken with him to have a very good rapport with students and great teaching competence, showing the ability to explain topics, questions and mistakes in a way that the student understands and learns from. He's supportive of the level of knowledge, goals and the different musical tastes of students, allowing the diversification of the topics and repertoire studied in class, thus creating an excellent learning environment. In short simply 10/10. Excellent professor! Definitely recommend him to those who want to learn or/and better their skills at the instrument.
