Trusted teacher: Do you dream of learning music professionally based on deep understanding and not just imitation? Do you want to confidently master playing or singing, and gradually move from a beginner level to a truly advanced level? I offer comprehensive and integrated online music lessons, based on a clear and well-thought-out curriculum that starts with you from absolutely zero, even if you have never held a musical instrument before, and takes you step by step towards an advanced and professional level, with careful individual follow-up that ensures your real development. I am a music teacher with a master's degree in music, and a performer with practical experience in both performance and teaching. I believe that everyone can learn music if guided in the right way. My goal is not just to teach you to play or sing, but to help you understand music as a complete language and express yourself through it confidently and professionally. Teaching areas include: Piano: Learn the basics of playing, reading from sheet music, correct technique, and progress to performing advanced pieces. Oud: Understanding the maqams, plectrum techniques, controlling expression, and playing in an authentic oriental style. Guitar: The basics of playing, rhythms, chords, and playing songs correctly and smoothly. Singing: A comprehensive vocal training that includes self-control, pitch improvement, correct pronunciation, and performance development. Eastern Maqams: A practical and theoretical study of maqams, how to move between them, and their use in playing, singing, and improvisation. Music theory: Understanding musical notation, rhythm, scale, and harmony in a simplified and practical way. Solfège: Reading sheet music, auditory training, musical dictation, and significantly strengthening the musical ear. The educational program is based on the principle of organized progression, where learning is divided into clear stages: Phase 1: Building the foundation from scratch, getting acquainted with the machine or sound, and understanding the basic principles. Phase Two: Developing technical skills and starting practical application through exercises and musical works. The third stage: Reaching an advanced level that includes musical expression, playing with confidence, and the ability to perform pieces or songs in a complete manner. The fourth stage: the stage of relative professionalism, where the student becomes able to rely on himself, analyze music, and improvise, especially in Eastern music. What makes these lessons unique: A clear methodology that takes you from zero to professional in a gradual and well-thought-out manner. A simple yet in-depth explanation, suitable for all levels. Focus on practical application, not just memorization. Combining playing instruments and singing to develop a complete musical sense. Trusted teacher: "I still remember the first time I heard the sound of a harp. I was 8 years old, my grandparents took me to a concert in the small church of Gosselies. When the harpist began to pluck the strings, I was kidnapped by the magical sound that emanated from the wooden heart. The longer the concert went on, the closer I got to the harp... After pestering my parents for a year, I began to study this magnificent instrument. It immediately became a sacred object for me. Thanks to it, I could communicate my feelings, laugh, relax and find the balance I was looking for." My courses are based on the Irish teaching method so first of all to the ear, on the resources that the student has in himself and on the fact that one learns while having fun. I propose a harp lesson: - Medieval dedicated to teenagers and adults for false beginner and intermediate based on medieval music and rebirth, improvisation, arrangement of melodies, ... - Celtic for all ages from 14 to 70 years, beginner level, false beginner, intermediate and intermediate / advanced based on Celtic repertoire and Irish, Scottish and Breton techniques After a few lessons, the neo-harpists will play short and simple melodies until the end of the journey to play more complete melodies that provide accompaniment and use of both hands. Lessons are defined on the learning needs of individual students. Even if I use the Irish teaching method, I will provide the basis for reading the pentagram, for the integration of rhythm, the foundations of harmony so that the student can read a piece of music independently. I live in Italy, so I come back to Belgium about once a month for face-to-face lessons (duration of face-to-face lesson: 90 minutes). Next dates for in-person classes in Belgium: April 10th. For googlemeet courses (3-4x per month, lesson duration 60 minutes) see typical week. Do not hesitate to write to me.

I started learning the cello with absolutely no background in music, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. From the very beginning, Miriam made the process feel approachable and enjoyable. What stands out the most is her ability to adapt her teaching, she always finds a different way to explain something until it truly clicks. You can feel that her approach is shaped by years of experience and by everything she has learned from other musicians, but what makes the difference is how she passes that knowledge on. She doesn’t just teach technique, she shares her passion for music in a way that makes you want to keep going. She is patient, calm, and genuinely supportive, which makes a big difference when you’re starting from zero. I’ve really enjoyed learning the cello so far, and I’m grateful to have her guiding me through this journey.

My private violin lesson with Ester was absolutely perfect. I had a privilege to hear Ester play her violin and she is so good- it is crazy to think I was able to learn from her. She is also such a good teacher. Full of knowlege and patience- which is, in my opinion, a rare combination. I had no prior musical education and this was my first real music lesson. Ester managed to teach me basic note reading, correct violin holding and even playing my first tunes. Her explainations are very clear and easy to understand. And her approach is very friendly. She is also a very nice person and easy to talk to. I wish we lived in the same city so I could keep studying playing violin with Ester- that's how good she is. Lidia

Mélanie

As i am just about to start harp lessons, we had a first ''lesson' in which Mélanie advised me extensively about the types of harps that I should consider getting/renting,and explained her pedagogy and the type of music she specializes in, which is exactly what I would like to take up. She explained some aspects of the repertoire (such as the fact that for older music we often have only a melody line surviving, so the accompaniment involves improvisation). She is extremely friendly and helpful, organized and clearly at home with teaching online, which she had been doing in part before the lockdown. I look forward to having the first 'real' lesson once I have a harp to play on.
