Trusted teacher: Everyone learns differently. That's why I teach the way you want. You decide what you want to learn and how, including when your lesson takes place and how long it lasts. I teach music theory, music history and/or composition/songwriting to anyone who wants to, regardless of age or level, at my home in Velp. You can learn about music from every genre from prehistory to the present. You can learn to read/write music notation and/or learn about the theories behind classical music, jazz and pop music. I can help you write songs and compositions, or analyze a piece of music. You can work towards an exam/test/training or just learn out of interest. Whether it's the history of the electric guitar or writing a fugue, I'm happy to teach you. Anything is possible. I am trained as a musician/writer and am a second-degree teacher. I have more than 10 years of experience in education and have been teaching music theory, music history, art history, creative writing and other subjects to the senior classes of a small secondary school for a number of years, where I am also a team member. I have written music for film, theatre, band and orchestra. In addition, I have also performed on stage a lot myself. I write teaching materials that are used at various schools in secondary and higher education. I have a lot of experience with innovative education and one-on-one teaching. If you are interested or have any questions, please feel free to contact us. In addition to music lessons, you can also contact me for lessons in art history, creative writing, mathematics and physics.

Do you want to start playing the clarinet? Do you want to improve your skills as advanced student? Would you like to continue playing and learning the instrument in a rich and inspiring environment? I offer clarinet & music lessons for individual students or small groups, attending different levels of experience, ages and needs, from beginners to advanced! My classes are personalised according to your level, interests and desires. During the leaning process, I weave the content and methodology together with the students, giving attentive orientation in all phases of the process. I am a professional clarinet player and music pedagogue (BA), I hold a Master in Performing Arts, and I am trained in dance and movement disciplines. I perform in several contexts: solo, orchestra, ensamble, chamber music, and also in collaboration with other artistic disciplines. In my classes I always like to offer a broad perspective of music and performance, combining it with other artistic languages and different styles. I like giving inputs and get inspiration from other disciplines (visual arts or performing arts for example) in order to experience music as a transversal artistic expression, to unfold imagination and to be playful making arts! In my clarinet lessons, I also pay attention to the engagement of the body in performance. I give tools to develop awareness towards the body as a source for expression and producer of sound! I can offer several options: online or live classes, from 30 to 90min. Are you curious and want to know more? Do you still have doubts and questions? Don't hesitate to contact me:) Lets learn and play together!

Trusted teacher: Teaching from my experience as a performing musician and my stage experience is one of the important principles in my teaching practice. Sharing what I have experienced myself. By teaching on different sides of the world and with different age categories, I have built up a lot of experience. At a certain point, teaching for me became much more than just keeping the student busy playing pieces of music. By studying different aspects such as sound, breathing, posture and other aspects of flute playing, I began to see very clearly how all elements of playing are influenced by our personality, emotions and feelings. And in this way, playing the flute becomes much deeper and more beautiful than "just" making music, then you get to know yourself on a different level and on a different level of making music. During my career I have played and continue to play several flutes: modern flute, piccolo, traverso (baroque flute) and bansuri (Indian flute). That gives me a lot of vision and insight into flute playing in general. In addition to my music activities, I am also a certified yoga teacher. From my yoga training, I have a clear idea of anatomy and the structure of the human body, which in my view is very important to help students find their own beautiful and natural sound. It is important to me to view each person as personally as possible and to help them as individually as possible to find their own way to music and the flute. I not only give flute lessons for the modern flute, but also lessons for the traverso.

Trusted teacher: I teach in my studio at home (in my backyard) on Thursday (afternoon and evening), Friday (idem) and on Saturday afternoon. There is still some room for new students. This also has to do with the way I teach at home. Many students have lessons every two weeks or even every three weeks (only a few people every week). The learning frequency is determined by the student himself. I do not expect payment in advance, but for example that at the beginning of a new month the actual lessons from the previous month will be transferred (if you cancel more than 24 hours in advance, no tuition fees will be charged). Lessons are given in all possible existing styles and, if desired, tailored to the taste of the student concerned. The studio has two complete drum sets and various percussion instruments (congas, bongos, cowbells etc.), in addition to good professional recording equipment. On the internet (Dropbox) I have put a lot of play-along numbers in addition to pre-programmed technical exercises. The pleasure of playing drums or percussion comes first, in addition to advancing in playing level and possible employability in bands. Lessons are given individually to all levels; from absolute beginners to aspiring candidates for a conservatory education (in which the various (historical) drum techniques will be discussed extensively). For many years I have been working as a percussion teacher at the Lindenberg Cultural Center in Nijmegen and at the Arnhems Conservatory (ArtEZ) alongside work as a freelancer (studio) musician.
