I studied Jazz Music at Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen and at the moment I am completing my Master studies in Music Therapy at the ArtEZ Conservatorium in Enschede, The Netherlands. I also hold a degree of the Orff Approach (Orff Schulwerk), a developmental approach used in music education, which combines music, movement, and speech and it is a great approach for children 4-8 years old. I specialize in jazz and Brazilian repertoire, but I also teach Greek folk singing. The lessons are designed according to the needs of each student. Some of the focusing areas are listed below: 1. Vocal Technique: We focus on vocal technique elements such as breath control, vocal range, the use of all registers, and timbres of your voice. The goal is to sing effortlessly. With the vocal technique, you will get the chance to explore your voice and build confidence in your voice. 2. Repertoire: Together we can build your repertoire step by step and focus on the phrasing of each style. You will choose the repertoire you like and you can always ask for advice in case you want to explore new musical styles. A great time of enjoyment during classes where you will be singing your heart out! 3. Improvisation: Vocal improvisation is a great way to explore the voice and also express your feelings. It will also boost your creativity and musicality. Specific exercises can also guide you through this process step by step and in that way we will explore vocal improvisation. FOR CHILDREN (4-8 years old): I am specialized in music education for children 4-8 years old. Using the Orff Approach children will have a great creative time for themselves where they learn music by using their whole body. Experiencing and learning music through playing! I have had many children pupils, who approached the trombone or another brass instrument for the first time, as many amateurs of all ages who needed a guide for their path, but also adults with a great knowledge of music, who wanted to perfect themselves and find inspiration to cultivate their passion. If you are approaching the Trombone for the first time, there are NO requirement, book your lesson and you will try the instrument at my place, then if you want to progress you will need to buy your own instrument. If you are an amateur or you already study in another school but you want to perfect yourself or you need any help for any issues, just come by and we will see together your level and what you need to improve. Many masterclasses all around Italy and abroad taught me that every student is different, and a teacher can change your life just by saying the right sentence, we will work together. I graduated from Royal Conservatoire The Hague in the Netherlands in 2022 with a degree in jazz vocals. In February 2021, I was invited by Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office to perform at their online new year receptions in Belgium and the Netherlands. My song “Who Sings With Water” has won Best Original Music of the Year at Beehive Music Award 2022 by A Cappella China. Prior to my study, I was the resident artist of Yat Po Singers, a multi-award winning a cappella theatre company in Hong Kong, from 2012 to 2018. I performed in many of our original productions, such as the CASH Golden Sail Music Award winner Rock Hard. I also arranged music for our productions of This Victoria Has No Secrets in 2019 and Pica Pica Choose in 2018. ​During my residency, I have toured Tokyo, Seoul, Penang, Taipei, Macau, Mainland China, Brussels and Luxembourg, and collaborated with various performing art groups such as Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, Hong Kong Dance Company and Edward Lam Dance Theatre. I have given choir lessons at the primary school of European School The Hague since 2021. I was a coach for several amateur a cappella groups in Hong Kong and have given vocal lessons in many secondary schools there. I also collaborated with the actor Fabrizio Saccomanno by playing in the ensemble accompanying a theatrical representation of the Dante's "Inferno" adapted by Fabrizio Saccomanno himself and played at the Teatro Apollo in Lecce. 2016 - present: During the second year of the high school, intrigued by the jazz singing lessons I was attending, I started exploring and appreciating the jazz music and I started approaching it on the guitar by attending private lessons with the teachers Andrea Favatano and Giancarlo Del Vitto. Matteo is a very inspiring teacher and a great trombone player who performs regularly! I’m very thankful to have him as my teacher and already learned a lot in 4 lessons. What a warm welcome by Lisse in her studio. We brought our daughter to her first piano lesson. She is just four but wants to play the piano and sing. Lisse understands the teaching very well and in a playful way she already learned some keynotes (and made her own composition). Lisse is well organised and that you see in the lesson. Our daughter is very excited about her next lesson!
