Hello ! Passionate and highly motivated, I offer tailor-made cello or baroque cello lessons, adapted to your organization, your personality and your desires. If you are looking for varied, supportive learning at your own pace, you are in the right place. For me, it is essential to give you the technical tools to approach the music you love with complete peace of mind. This learning process involves an analytical approach to body control and a refined awareness of movement. Drawing inspiration from the Alexander Technique and breath work, I help you find deep relaxation with the instrument. To achieve this, I create personalized exercises based on my own technical research. In addition, I utilize recognized progressive methods to solidify your foundation (Feuillard's Young Cellist Method, Valérie Aimard's CelloKids, Yampolsky, etc.). Then... it's time for the music of your dreams and sharing! Technique is simply a tool at the service of music. Alongside the fundamental work, we'll emphasize the joy of playing the repertoire of your choice: we'll work on the music you truly love. If a score doesn't exist or proves too complex, I'll create custom arrangements especially for you! But of course, music is first and foremost about sharing. I'll regularly accompany you in duets during our lessons to develop your listening skills and musicality. Indeed, playing together is very stimulating. Furthermore, I can occasionally organize meetings between students who wish to participate, giving you the opportunity to meet, exchange ideas, and play together in a friendly atmosphere. If you are passionate about early music, please note that I also offer lessons in Baroque cello. Whether you wish to begin or improve your skills on a historical instrument (gut strings, Baroque bow), or explore this specific repertoire with the aesthetics and phrasing of the period on your modern cello, I would be delighted to guide you in your learning. Feel free to contact me to discuss your musical preferences. I look forward to meeting you and starting this adventure together!

Trusted teacher: I offer in-home music awakening sessions for young children in Geneva and the surrounding area. The goal is not to give a lesson in the classical sense, but to open a first door to music: listening, singing, moving, feeling the rhythm, discovering sounds, playing with the voice, gestures, small percussion instruments and the keyboard. Depending on the child's age, the sessions may include: nursery rhymes and songs; rhythm and pulse games; listening and sound recognition games; a gradual discovery of the piano; of movement, musical gesture and coordination; small ear exercises; moments of imitation, invention and expression. For toddlers, especially those between 1 and 3 years old, the approach is very gentle, sensory, and playful. It uses voice, body, sounds, images, play, and repetition. The goal is to create a lively, joyful musical experience adapted to the child's pace. For slightly older children, around 3 to 6 years old, one can gradually move towards a first discovery of the keyboard: recognizing low and high notes, following a pulse, reproducing small patterns, singing while accompanying oneself, inventing short musical phrases, developing listening and concentration. My approach is flexible and entirely personalized. Some children need a lot of movement, others need to observe, listen, repeat, or use their imagination. I adapt to their age, energy level, sensitivity, and pace. I began my musical studies at the conservatory at the age of 7 and completed my training there up to the third cycle. I have been teaching piano and singing for several years, and I have also created children's shows and accompanied singers and dancers. My background allows me to approach music in a dynamic way, connecting rhythm, voice, body, listening, and emotion. I can provide in-home services for a single child, siblings, or a small group of children, depending on availability. I can also offer occasional or regular sessions in various settings: early childhood centers, nurseries, daycare centers, associations, community centers, or music workshops. The duration (and the price) will be assessed based on the child's age. I am currently putting together my schedule for the start of the new term on August 17th, with regular slots available at home. I travel to Geneva and surrounding areas: Geneva centre, Eaux-Vives, Champel, Plainpalais, Carouge, Lancy, Onex, Cologny, Chêne-Bougeries, Chêne-Bourg, Thônex, Grand-Saconnex, Nations, Petit-Saconnex, Meyrin, Vernier, Versoix. Possible travel to Nyon, Coppet, Gland, Rolle and La Côte if several sessions are grouped on the same half-day.

Maxime was very responsive online and we were easily able to setup a time and place, and he was on time for our first class. The class itself was great. He was prepared, and clearly has experience teaching, having cited various methods, and selected one that he felt was most appropriate for my age, interests and level. He also realy seems to enjoy teaching!

Celia is a wonderful teacher. Really passionate and this comes across very well. She is patient when teaching and helps you get a very deep understanding of the importance of starting with the basics and then building upwards from there. I really enjoyed and will do more lessons in the future. Best, Alessandro
