Trusted teacher: I am Letizia, 26 years old and I play the clarinet! I've been teaching children, teenagers, and adults for nine years. I'll be completing my Master's degree in Music Education (at the Zurich University of the Arts) in June 2022. I enjoy making music with children and adults who know, know about, or are learning to play the clarinet! I believe that music is very important for political development, to learn to listen to other people and to listen to them. So letizia, she's 26 years old and she plays the clarinetto! A Giugno 2022 finished the degree in Pedagogia musicale presso at the Zurich University of the Arts, and he received the Master in Music Performance in 2020. Insegno clarinetto a bambini, ragazzi e adultsi dal 2013 in private school in Italy. It is also available for introducing children and adults to the world of musical instruments, including my instruments, which can also be used to introduce musical instruments or elements of clarinet technology and continue the proprio percorso di studi. So no convinta che la musica ci renda persone migliori: disposte all'ascolto, alla cooperazione e alla ricerca della bellezza. I'm a 26-year-old clarinetist; I'm completing my Master's degree in Music Education in June at the Zurich University of the Arts, where I also studied for my Master's degree in Music Performance (2018-20). I have been teaching music to children, teenagers and adults in Switzerland and Italy for 9 years. I can offer lessons to children and adults who want to start making music or get closer to the instrument! I think music makes people better listeners and collaborators, and I believe in the power of music and art to make the world a more beautiful place.

Toby - Zurich69Fr
Trusted teacher: I am a professional violin and viola teacher based in Zurich, teaching in person at students' location or online, in English, German or Russian. (Reviews below) As well as instrumental teaching and ensemble coaching of at all levels over the last 12 years, I’ve led numerous professional workshops, including ‘Music First’ and ‘Music Masters’ workshops in London and was an assistant on the Primary Arpeggione viola course and at the Springgrove music competition. As a member of the European String Teachers’ Association, I participated in their conferences across Europe. I have prepared students for music exams at all levels, working with them on music theory, aural and sight reading skills, and regularly accompany students on the piano. I perform internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, recently including at the Victoria Hall in Geneva, Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg and Philharmonie in Berlin. I’m a Tillett Trust and Villa Musica artist, winner of the Małopolska competition, Barbirolli Prize at the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition and Len Lickorish Memorial Prize at the Royal Overseas League International Strings Competition. I hold a masters degree with first class honours from the class of Tabea Zimmermann at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, and Bachelors with the same distinction from the Royal Academy of Music in London. * Reviews * Stephanie W. Toby is an outstanding instructor and works with children very naturally. My 11 year old son has been taking lessons with Toby for over two months and is eager for each lesson. Toby is extremely talented, but beyond that, he engages my son deeply with the music itself, fundamental techniques, music theory, and even the interpretation of the music. Toby is kind, encouraging, and works with students at a level that is appropriate. He has allowed my son to chose music that if fun and interesting to practice, even though the pieces are challenging. In fact, I often sit in to listen to the lessons, as they are so good. My son has had a couple of lessons with Toby while company has been over, and everyone has commented on how amazing Toby is as an instructor. I can not recommend Toby enough and hope to continue lessons with him for a long time. Pamela B. Toby is really a great teacher who teaches the pieces well and brings out more of the feeling in the playing. We particularly liked that. Good technique is one thing, but feeling the music is such an important element in music and learning a piece of music. He also teaches theory very well! Tatyana M. Toby is a fantastic teacher. He is very reliable as he is consistently organised and punctual. I constantly see progress in my child’s music skills because every lesson Toby delivers is effective and well-structured. I highly recommend him to all who wish to learn or improve on their music skills. Shaun W. Knowledgeable and frank, Toby was able to provide me with crucial information quickly and efficiently. Hanna S. Toby can explain things very well and understandably, is patient and friendly and easily adapts to the student's level. Jacques R. Toby is an excellent tutor with top teaching skills..he teaches music theory in a way my 12 year old son understands the lesson easily; Toby is very attentive

Trusted teacher: Looking for a passionate and professional piano teacher for your child or for yourself? My lessons are designed to bring out the joy of music and enhance creativity, while also gradually improving technique based on age and individual abilities. As a dedicated and experienced professional teacher with a university degree, I take teaching seriously and am committed to providing effective lessons tailored to each student. I offer different approaches to suit the individual needs and goals of every student. Playing an instrument should be a delightful experience and that's exactly what my lessons are all about! PRE-SCHOOL CHILDREN Are you a parent eager to introduce your little one to the wonderful world of music? My lessons are designed to be playful and engaging. Using specially adapted piano books, including a method tailored for children as young as 4 years old, I'll guide your child through an exciting musical adventure, complete with stories, games and new songs to learn. We'll explore music through singing, movement, and rhythm, helping your child develop a deep and lasting love for music. SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN The lessons are more than just learning songs. Children will explore a piano book filled with stories, characters, engaging music, and games. Depending on preferences we can dive into playing music with accompaniment recordings, which allows children to immerse themselves in a complete musical experience. Theory learning is included. TEENAGERS Are you looking for a piano teacher who will encourage and support your teenager's passion for music? Thanks to a hybrid method book for older beginners that contains pedagogically and age appropriate piano pieces, technical exercises, and supplementary activities, students are able to play hands together from the very first day, unlikely to traditional methods. In case of a former experience in playing the piano, I build on their existing knowledge and continue to expand their skills and creativity. I am also open to student's suggestions, I believe that playing a piece they enjoy is effective in keeping them motivated. ADULTS It's never too late to pick up a new skill. As an adult, you have unique advantages over children when it comes to learning music. You have greater focus, a better grasp of music theory, and a strong motivation to succeed. We'll follow a hybrid method book for older beginners that contains pedagogically appropriate piano pieces, technical exercises, and supplementary activities, and allows you, unlikely to traditional methods, to play hands together from the very first day. Do you have a favorite song that you've always wanted to play but thought it was too difficult? There are plenty of classical and popular melodies that have been arranged for beginners, so you can start playing them right after grasping the basics of piano playing.

I had the great privilege of having Sofia preparing me for a competitive international orchestra audition in November 2022. During the brief time we had for the preparation, Sofia has not only shown thorough understanding of violin techniques - from the fundamentals to the more virtuosic - but also a command of the whole spectrum of musical expressions, both of which she was able to convey with clarity and effectively. Furthermore, due to her extensive experience in performances/auditions, she identified my strengths and weaknesses immediately from the start and designed a strategic practice plan specifically for me, which helped me improve rapidly within our short time frame and maxed out my performance at the audition. She is a rare teacher who is encouraging and shares the students’ passions, without compromising critical judgement in any flaws in performance, giving me a realistic assessment of my abilities and a great sense of security before the audition. Musical matters aside - she is a caring, warm, and passionate person who does not hesitate to mobilise all her resources to help me -intellectually or otherwise, despite her busy schedule. I honestly could not have completed my audition without the advice and confidence she gave me. 10/10 would recommend.

I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional first e-guitar lesson you provided to my son, Michael. Your natural ability to connect with children and your positive attitude created an incredibly welcoming and engaging learning environment. It was truly inspiring to see how you balanced patience and encouragement, fostering a sense of excitement and curiosity in my son. Your enthusiasm for music and teaching was evident and contagious, making the lesson not just educational but also immensely enjoyable. The way you tailored your approach to suit his age and interests was impressive, and it's clear that you have a genuine talent for working with young learners. Thank you for sparking a newfound passion for music in my son and for being such a wonderful role model. We are looking forward to many more lessons with you.

I took a few lessons with Lasha so far and I had a great experience. Lasha is diligent in preparing the material for the sessions and he adapts the lessons to my specific level and to what I prefer to practice which allows me to progress in the directions I'm most interested about. Otherwise, Lasha is an easy going and nice person and I can happily recommend him to other students.
