In my opinion, learning an instrument goes far beyond the instrument itself. It is a means of personal development, a way to develop transferable skills useful in everyday life (stress management, teamwork, listening, communication, etc.) and a moment that one dedicates to oneself. Whether you're a beginner or looking to improve your skills, I will guide you with passion, interest, and care in bringing your projects to fruition. I am open to all approaches and easily adapt to your needs and desires. A little bit about me: I have a master's degree in music from IMEP in transverse flute and a master's degree in section 5 (focused on pedagogy) from IMEP and UNamur. I already have experience teaching the transverse flute in an academy and in parallel, I regularly play in orchestral and chamber music projects (Belgian National Orchestra, Nuove Musiche, PoeSi, etc.). I am also a pianist and I love accompanying my students when the situation allows :-) Looking forward to meeting you to begin this musical adventure together!

With eight years of experience in private school, I offer lessons in a relaxed atmosphere, with a simple method adapted to you, so that everyone progresses at their own pace. I am open to all musical styles from jazz to traditional music and I prefer working by ear, why try to read when you can't speak? Music theory can only be learned through the instrument! I am motorized, lessons can be given at your home.

I will be happy to start or deepen with you the learning of the recorder or the transverse flute. Courses possible around Waterloo, Leuven, Louvain-la-neuve and Uccle. Like Obélix, I fell into the pot when I was young: my father is a pianist and my mother is a music teacher. I started very early in musical awakening and recorder lessons at the Waterloo Academy. When I was 8, one instrument was no longer enough for me and I started playing the transverse flute. I am currently in my final year at the Lemmensinstituut in Louvain for the recorder, I obtained my Bachelor's degree with distinction in Brussels and then left for an enriching Erasmus year in Weimar in Germany. After 4 years in musical humanity, I decided to focus on the recorder while continuing lessons with Gérard Noack to return to the conservatory very soon. Since I entered the conservatory in 2016, I started giving lessons alongside my studies. I taught musical awakening in schools in Waterloo, I also teach recorder and transverse flute in Lembeek in addition to directing several instrumental groups. I don't have a favorite methodology except the "positive attitude". I have given a lot of lessons with very different students and with equally distant expectations, I adapt myself as well as possible to your wishes and your situation, hoping to give enriching and fulfilling lessons. Having many children students, I created my own recorder method, for the more advanced, I am currently working on the realization of a technical exercise book. I give lesson by session of one hour or 1/2 hour for the youngest. All ages are welcome as well as all levels and styles. Following the corona virus crisis, I also give lessons via webcam. I hope to see you very soon to share my passion with you.

In my classes I take the following points: Recognize the level you are at. Know your goals. Adapt the material to the level and/or objectives set. Work on it in class and with well-planned tasks. Enjoy the process :) Progress! The classes are aimed at students/lovers of music in general and of the transverse flute or piccolo. I have worked since with children who have begun to put the mouthpiece in their mouths as well as with people preparing tests for the conservatory.

I enjoy teaching both harp and flute at my studio in Worthing and also offer lessons online. I studied at The Royal Academy of Music, London graduating with a first-class Master's degree and an LRAM music teaching qualification. Learning an instrument is a very rewarding and enjoyable experience and I teach students of all ages and abilities from complete beginner to advanced levels. Music theory will be integrated into the lessons and you will have the opportunity to take part in performances and work towards graded exams if you wish to do so or just play for fun! Each lesson will be tailored to the individual pupil’s needs, level, and style. I teach a wide variety of musical styles including Classical, Celtic, Pop, Jazz, and more!
