Singing lessons : Graduate of the Brussels Conservatory in jazz singing (Master), I sing professionally and am pedagogue for 20 years now. I offer private lessons and semi-singing in Watermael-Boitsfort (corner of the broom). INDIVIDUAL LESSON OF 45 OR 60 MINUTES Classes are directed to the desires and demands of the student. Here is what I propose ... Voice technique: through vocalizations and other fun exercises, learn to use your body and your voice in an effective and healthy way. Directory (or not): chosen by the student and the teacher. My preference goes to jazz and all its branches and roots (bossa, brazilian, blues, gospel, polyphony, ...) because it's for me the best training but I'm open and I sing myself (almost) every other styles ;-) Improvisation: the best for the end :-) listening exercise, creativity, self-expression, voice and musicality. For the technical part (voice pose, abdominal breathing) a little rigor is required, but from the first class, you sing the song of your choice! No music theory required! I’m a sound engineer, music producer, and DJ with a degree from Point Blank Music School (London) and more hours logged at Le Zéro Studio in Brussels than I care to admit. I’ve produced, mixed, and mastered across genres — from rap to electronic to “what the hell is this but it slaps.” I'm also working on my solo project, if you want to check the proof in the pudding ("imyraj" on all platforms). I give mix lessons for beginner DJ at home or at home (Rhode-Saint-Genèse). I travel to Rhode Saint Genèse, Waterloo, Braine-l'Alleud, Lille, Lasne, La Hulpe, Hoeilaart, Uccle, Beersel, ... Styles worked by default: EDM, House, Electro. Harmony, melody and rhythm is what music is made of. That's all. Those three things. Although sometimes these things can be hard to distinguish. Feeling music is a completely different story though and is not something you can measure or maybe even define. With understanding the basics or more profound structures in music you might find a new dimension with the feeling and appreciation you have for the sounds that you love. Answers, exercises, solutions. We can find them together in a quest to find your questions about eartraining and jazzpiano. We can work on fingerings with exercises in partition, specific voicings, left- and right hand coördination, eartraining exercises from beginner up to conservatory level and more specific issues. I studied three years jazzpiano at the Lemmens Conservatory in Leuven, Belgium and played keys in a pop/funk band based in Brussels for about the same amount of time. Now i work in construction but still play piano everyday because music is beautiful!
