Violin lesson | Culture of Sound | Philosophy of musicTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Violin lesson | Culture of Sound | Philosophy of musicTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Violin lessons can be much more than learning notes, technique, and repertoire. In my classes, I want to develop what I call a culture of sound: the ability to truly listen, to understand the character and quality of a sound, and to discover how one note can carry emotion, intention, and meaning. Alongside violin technique, we explore the philosophy of music - why music affects us so deeply, how interpretation changes what we hear, and how musicians learn to communicate something that cannot always be expressed in words. Playing the violin is also a unique form of mental training. It requires the ears, eyes, hands, memory, imagination, and attention to work together at the same time. In this sense, music is both meditation and one of the most powerful exercises in concentration. Regular practice develops focus, coordination, memory, and the brain's ability to learn. My goal is therefore not simply to teach someone how to play the violin. I want students to develop a sensitive ear, an individual relationship with sound, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to become completely absorbed in music. Learning to play an instrument means becoming part of the beauty and discovering the almost magical feeling of creating music yourself. So lets learn together to create musical magic.

Violin lesson for all ages. Get to know the beauty of music with me!Translate this text using Google Translate.

Unterricht auf Deutsch auch möglich 日本語レッスン可 Hi, my name is Atsu and I'd love to pass on my knowledge, my experiences and my passion to you! I started playing the violin when I was three and up until now I've studied with Fuminori Shinozaki and Simon Wiener, amongst others. I gladly offer my assistance to you, so that you can achieve your goals efficiently. Here, it's important for me to discover your strengths together and help you develop them further. Of course, I will make sure that you have fun and you stay motivated:) Probably what's special about my lesson is that we're also going to play duets, which should help you learn to listen to other musicians and acquire the skills needed for playing in an ensemble. In the long run: it's not just about learning the rules and correct techniques; it is also vital that you eventually learn to interpret the music on your own personal way by using your (musical) intelligence, and to have the confidence to break traditional norms. It is through the hands of artists who dare to experiment that music (like all art forms) becomes alive. Your (or your child's) age doesn't matter that much; it's never too late to start learning! I will adapt the teaching methods individually.

I have been teaching classical, musical theatre, and pop singing for 24 years at various music schools and with the Vienna Boys' Choir. Having also studied Indian music therapy in India, I place great emphasis on the therapeutic aspect of singing. I also teach Indian music therapy. You can find more information about this on my website. Among other things, you can learn the following from me: healthy breathing techniques, expanding your vocal range, singing with a microphone, and various singing techniques: classical, baroque, musical theatre, and pop. I studied therapeutic singing and Indian music therapy in India 21 years ago and also teach these subjects. Therapeutic singing can help release anxiety, insecurity, grief, and inner restlessness. Piano Lessons for Music Lovers and Time-Starved ProfessionalsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Hello there! Do you wish to learn to play the piano but do not have several hours every day to dedicate to practicing? I can help! With 15 years of teaching experience, I’ve honed my methods to facilitate rapid progress and maximize efficiency. My students achieve in months, what usually takes years when following a conventional music school program. Nonetheless, I am not taking any shortcuts. On the contrary, one of the reasons why my students progress so fast is my insistence on building solid fundamentals. I strive for my students to master the necessary tools for them to then achieve their own personal ambitions. Having observed the practice routines of professionals and university students worldwide, I've realized that there's often much time to be gained during practice. Realizing everyone's personnality, approach, affinities and tastes are different, I prioritize a personalized approach tailored to your individual learning style. Together, we'll make the most of our sessions, whether you're a beginner diving into music or an intermediate player seeking to enhance your skills. And guess what? You won't need to practice for hours on end to see significant improvement. With regular lessons, even just 15 minutes of practice three times a week can lead to enormous progress. As I often say, the learning process is more akin to a marathon than a sprint. While efficiency is important, I believe that learning should be fun and inspiring. Free improvisation, composition, piano - discover a new musical language and your own expressionTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Free improvisation, composition, piano - discover a new musical language and your own expressionTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I offer individually tailored lessons in composition, free improvisation, and piano for students of all levels — from beginners to advanced musicians. Composition Lessons focus on developing a personal musical language through both creative work and analytical study. We analyze scores from various periods, including the 20th and 21st centuries. We explore contemporary compositional techniques, form, harmony, texture, and extended instrumental techniques (including their notation). Students are guided in building original works while strengthening their artistic identity. Free Improvisation This course combines practical exercises with the analysis of selected works and recordings in experimental and improvised music. The aim is to liberate musical expression while consciously shaping an individual musical language. The course is not dedicated to any single style or genre, but rather focuses on helping each participant discover and develop their own artistic voice and approach to music-making. It is suitable not only for beginners, but also for advanced musicians seeking to expand their vocabulary and deepen their artistic practice. There is no restriction to a single instrument: participants are welcome to bring their own instrument or join without any instrument at all. Lessons can take place both individually and in small groups. This format is also highly suitable for children, as improvisation encourages imagination, confidence, and a playful exploration of sound. Piano Piano lessons integrate technique, sound awareness, and interpretative work. Repertoire may include classical, contemporary, or experimental music, depending on the student’s interests and goals. We work either with a programme assigned by a university or institution, or develop an individual programme tailored to the student’s artistic interests, technical level, and personal objectives.

Mrs. Denise has demonstrated passion, mastery and, above all, great versatility as a teacher. She has skillfully recaptured the spirit of a Medieval song with imaginative vocal intensity, while discussing in great detail the lyrical content, linguistic nuances, and the historical context of the song, as well as guiding me through the intricacies of the Occitan language with confidence and poise.

Sandra has been a great teacher! She was patient with me and my schedule and ever since our first lesson, she's been flexible and available for all of our lessons. I haven't taken Estonian in over 10 years and I'm excited to keep learning with Sandra. She has a good plan for learning Estonian that won't overwhelm a beginner!

Olivier is an amazing teacher, thanks both to his love for music and his great teaching skills. He is able to communicate very clearly, which ultimately results in a much faster and steady progress. For instance, he helped me discover a lot of possibilities, I did not know my voice had. Would 100% recommend.
