Géraldine - Paris$73
Trusted teacher: State-certified and trained in Richard Cross training. Trained in CVT (Complete Vocal Technique). This course is for anyone wishing to better use their voice in a professional or personal context: Singers, actors, storytellers... A professional singer and choir member with 30 years of experience (Y. NOAH, KASSAV, ALLIANCE ETHNIC, MAD IN PARIS, M. FUGAIN, STOMY BUGSY...) in singing, has decided to share her passion for music by offering her experience and vocal technique to people wishing to approach this beautiful discipline. My role: to detect your tensions in order to teach you how to correct them, all while prioritizing listening to the body and the voice... My goals in a few words: - Give you the confidence that is in you (break down the barriers) and allow you to find the vocal well-being through concrete situations - Teach you to breathe properly as part of the vocal gesture or the spoken voice - Give you the keys to support and support essential to the proper development of your song - Help you to place your voice, to make it resonate - Teach you to speak clearly without haste by holding the attention of the audience - Allow you to move while expressing yourself without tension or apprehension - To accompany you in the preparation of your auditions, speeches and castings - You help to let your voice live, to lighten it - Teach you to be in the pleasure and not only in the performance - Help you get back in touch with the rhythm Specific exercises to bring you: Accuracy, vocal stability, volume, intensity, nuances, articulation, diction, good interpretation of your song, improvisation... Concepts addressed: Respiratory work, Rhythm, Timbre, Resonances, Twang, Belting, Vibrato, Support and support, Melism (riffs and runs, vibes) ...

Trusted teacher: - 1 / Breathing Relaxation and breathing work to find the right posture How to breathe, identify your diaphragm, how to use it and take support from it Breath management on short and long notes Work on the imagination in order to create its own landmarks and access to the diaphragm Identify the role of the belly and throat. - 2 / The ear Ear development, how to produce and reproduce a precise note Piano accompaniment, integration of sound and resonance in the body Work of emotional stabilization in order to be in the feeling and let go and not in the thought Creation of sensory cues and conscious automatisms Note: It is difficult to advance in singing before having validated the understanding of the sound, ie the melody of a song and the accuracy of a note. - 3 / Warm-ups and voice exercises Scale exercises How to properly produce low notes and high notes Using your vibrato How to make each sound resonate to find its own resonance Change from head voice to chest voice Management of breath and harmonics. - 4 / The song Appropriate and perform a song Find your repertoire Appropriate and use your own stamp Work on rhythm, tempo and key Manage your diction, articulation and voice volume Identify where to take and release your breath in a song. In my eyes there is a strong therapeutic aspect linked to the liberation of your emotions and it is a moment when you express yourself freely without judging yourself. In my lessons, what is essential is the pleasure and the well-being that singing can provide. I make it a point of honor for the students to feel safe and to accompany them with kindness.

Mrs. Denise has demonstrated passion, mastery and, above all, great versatility as a teacher. She has skillfully recaptured the spirit of a Medieval song with imaginative vocal intensity, while discussing in great detail the lyrical content, linguistic nuances, and the historical context of the song, as well as guiding me through the intricacies of the Occitan language with confidence and poise.

As someone who loves singing it was very helpful in the very first lesson to begin to understand the muscles I need to use and the "spaces" I need to create to stabilise and improve my sound. I also felt she responded well to each question I raised, or issue she heard in the way I did the excercises. I look forward to future lessons.
