I am passionate about people, nature, music and how these elements are interconnected. I find teaching very joyful, it allows me to raise curiosity and encourage self-expression. I, Kaori, have been active in the musical sector as a driven entrepreneur since 2016. At the age of three I started playing the piano, when I was 16 I composed my first piano song, and at the age of 18 I started to conduct small ensembles and create my own multidisciplinary to create projects with a mix of music, theater and other arts. By sharing my love for music, I ensure that the message gets across to the musicians, regardless of their level. My main focus is on playing together, being musically active and having fun in the process.

I believe that every person is different and has different needs and abilities, that's why I like to adapt to my students and take care of their interests. In case the student does not have a clear view, I help him/her to find what appeals to him/her.

In this lesson we are going to work on your technique and musical skills through playing. The process and level of the lesson will be adjusted directly on your personal needs! I am Julia, a classical violin player. I studied at Codarts university in Rotterdam and played in an Orchestral Academy for a year in Spain. I discovered I enjoy teching very much while following a minor in education during my bachelor. Throughout the course I learned pedagogy, didactics and methodology, and worked with students of different ages and levels of experience. I love teaching because it allows me to share my knowledge and challenges me to be more imaginative and flexible.

The lessons are tailor-made. This means that the goals are going to be adapted to YOUR wishes taking in account previous experience, expectations and musical taste. Even though I have a classical training, I am open to work with different styles. I teach children from 5 years old onwards and adults.

I studied a classical piano bachelor, and later a jazz master and a live electronics master. In the meantime, I have been teaching music. It's longer than 9 years now!
Most of my students learn piano. With the starter ones, I use my own system to equally help them grow all the needed skills: body consciousness (to avoid lesions or bad habits), music theory (including writing and reading) and improvisation.
Usually most songs are made of melody, chords and rhythm. From there, I can help you understand how a song works, how is it written, how does it translate to the piano... and voilá! You'll know the song by heart, and will be able to play it a bit different every time, because you won't be following a set of pre-imposed instructions. You will understand how a small system (a song) works.
This way of learning can be applied to any song, from any century or style. Understanding is key! Play Chopin, write rock songs, play Monk, Bill Evans, the Beatles, make a lo-fi beat, play Beethoven, play the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Star Wars, play video game music, play salsa! bachata and make people dance, laugh or cry.
Music is very powerful!

PD: I have also experience imparting electronic music lessons in Ableton Live and Max MSP, which is now a very important part of my professional practice. I’m Helene, a vocal coach with over 10 years of experience teaching teens (12+) and adults of all levels. I graduated in Jazz Vocals (with piano as a minor) from the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen 2016.

My lessons focus on healthy vocal technique (based on CVT), self-expression, and building confidence — especially for those who feel blocked or insecure. I know how that feels, and I’m passionate about helping others grow through their voice.

I’m Helene, a vocal coach with over 10 years of experience teaching teens (12+) and adults of all levels. I graduated in Jazz Vocals (with piano as a minor) from the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen 2016.

My lessons focus on healthy vocal technique (based on CVT), self-expression, and building confidence — especially for those who feel blocked or insecure. I know how that feels, and I’m passionate about helping others grow through their voice.

In addition to singing, I guide students in songwriting, music theory, and learning to accompany themselves on piano. We set personal goals and work toward them step by step — with attention, care, and joy.

In my lessons, having fun while making music is always central. I believe you learn best when you feel safe, seen, and free to experiment. That’s why I work with a personal and positive approach, allowing each student to follow their own pace and musical interests.

A typical lesson starts with a short warm-up or technical exercise, tailored to the voice or instrument. We then work on songs, ideas, or projects the student enjoys, such as singing favorite songs, writing original music, or producing a track. Technique, musicality, and creativity are always intertwined. I explain theory in a practical and accessible way, so it can be applied immediately to your own music.

My background as a conservatory-trained vocalist, songwriter, and producer allows me to combine multiple disciplines. I support students not only with vocal or instrumental technique, but also with expression, confidence, songwriting, and developing a personal style. Making mistakes is part of the process, and often where the most beautiful ideas begin.

To improve music composition and piano skills, rather than lessons that are overly theoretical, broad, and generic, what is needed are practical and applicable lessons that focus on the essential key points and tips that actually improve ability, and that teach how to do it in practice.
Tutor should respect the student’s autonomy and opinions, tailor the class to the student’s individuality and preferences, and show patience with the student’s pace of development. Based on these principles, I will teach diligently.
