Piano lessons and/or music theory: from beginners to advanced levelsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Whether you are a music enthusiast who would love to play your favourite songs on the piano, an experienced musician looking to take the next step into your expressiveness and confidence when playing, or a student who needs to learn or reinforce music theory, you are in the right place! I'm Irene Martínez, a pianist and recent graduate of the Master of Music program at Codarts University of the Arts, and I would love for you to be my next student. I have previous experience teaching piano at different levels to people of many ages (children, teenagers, and adults), because I'm passionate about sharing my love of music and I believe that, with the right approach, everyone can be capable of expressing themselves through music. As a pianist, I have performed solo concerts of classical music, and also being part of ensembles, from chamber music to contemporary and other genres. I adapt my lessons and approach to the student's particular needs, so: - If you are already a pianist with some experience who wants to develop certain technical aspects and delve much deeper into musical expression... - If you are a beginner, or someone who wants to pick up playing again after a long time... - If you are interested in learning music theory in a much more efficient and fun way, relating everything you learn to your favourite music... - Either you want to prepare an entrance exam to pursue music in a professional way; or you want to keep it as a hobby... ...my lessons are definitely for you! I speak fluent Spanish, English, and French; so if you want to have lessons in one of these languages, don't hesitate to contact me! :)

Concert Pianist graduated at Rome Conservatorium teaches Piano for all levelsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Concert Pianist graduated at Rome Conservatorium teaches Piano for all levelsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Since graduating at the Conservatory of Rome, teaching as well as performing has been one of my passions! I have been teaching piano for more than 8 years to students of all levels and age. I have experience with children, adults and also with students with different learning abilities. My students were always encouraged to take a step further and navigate through the world of piano under my guidance. My lessons are generally from half hour (for young children) to 1/1,5 hours. Depending on the level of the student, the lesson will include solfeggio and notions of musical theory, technique exercises and study of piano repertoire. My experience lies in classical piano repertoire, including Classicism, Baroque, Romanticism and Early Modern. I try to vary the program of my lessons and to choose the repertoire with the students, based on their taste and inclination. My teaching method is very structured and reflects the methodology taught in Conservatories, Music Academies and Universities. It is aimed at creating a solid basis to prepare for exams and auditions as well as giving the instruments for independent study. This type of method is of course suited also for amateur pianists too, who just want to play in their spare time - it will give them the opportunity to check their practice and receive relevant advice. Aside from the technique, participation, passion and fun are also fundamental! I pace each lesson to the needs and the preparation of the students, listen to their requests and choose with them the right path to follow. All my students are always satisfied with the relaxed and inspiring atmosphere of our lessons!

Personalized Piano Lessons for All Ages & Levels in EnglishTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Personalized Piano Lessons for All Ages & Levels in EnglishTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Every student learns differently, which is why I tailor each lesson to their age, experience, and personal goals. I welcome students of all ages, from 3.5 years old to adults, and strive to create a warm, supportive environment where students feel comfortable, motivated, and excited to learn. My lessons combine piano performance, music theory, and solfège to build a strong musical foundation. I mainly teach using structured piano method books with a classical repertoire, while also introducing modern songs to keep lessons inspiring and connected to each student's interests. Whether a student is taking their very first lesson or returning to music later in life, I encourage steady progress while making the learning process enjoyable. In addition to individual piano lessons, I have extensive experience teaching group music classes for children aged 1 to 4. Through singing, movement, rhythm games, and playful activities, young children develop their sense of rhythm, pitch, listening skills, and musical expression. These experiences have deepened my passion for introducing music to children in a way that feels natural, engaging, and full of joy. Above all, I hope every student leaves each lesson feeling proud of what they have learned and inspired to continue their musical journey. My goal is not only to teach piano, but also to help students develop confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love for music.

Piano lessons for beginners and intermediate students (technic, theory, Jazz, classical, bossa nova...)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Piano lessons for beginners and intermediate students (technic, theory, Jazz, classical, bossa nova...)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Music is in our everyday life, whether we realise it or not. To go into music and start learning it is as natural as learning how to walk, cycle, or even breathe! Whichever the instrument, It is one of the most beautiful experiences we can give ourselves, bound to take us to new and undiscovered places. My name is João, I'm from Portugal, I'm 27 years of age, and I have a bachelor in jazz from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. I've been playing piano all my life, and can't wait to share what I've learned with you! I teach piano to all ages from beginner to intermediate. Although I have a program, I will let you create your own path, taking into account the several landmarks I create according to your level and needs. Teaching is all about the individuality of each person I work with, and as a student myself, I find it to be one of the most important points in teaching. I focus mainly on jazz, but since music theory and harmony touch all kinds of music, I am open to the suggestions you bring into class. The lessons will focus on learning music through listening, as well as introducing the student to music theory, and reading scores. Whether you like Pop, Jazz, Bossa Nova, or Classical, all music comes from the same place, so let's dive in! In my experience it is important to follow you as a student on the amount of time we spend in lesson, so the length of the lesson is determined by you in the moment, and what we are working on in the lesson. Because of this my rate per lesson in fixed, so depending on the moment and you we can have bigger or smaller lessons. If you wish to do things differently I am open to discussing it!

“ I started my lessons with Giorgia four months ago, and I am so glad to have found her. As a 26-year-old beginner, I was not sure if I should even try to pursue learning an instrument at this point. But now I am so glad I did! I am learning online, and I was a little unsure of how lessons via webcam would go. Despite my prejudice, everything turned out great, even though my setup is quite basic. Her approach to teaching is very creative. She is able to explain things that seem hard to put into words, and she always finds comparisons and descriptions that convey clearly little details of approach that make a lot of difference in the end result. For any difficulty I encountered, she presented methods of exercise that helped correct it. Another thing that I appreciate is that from one lesson to the next, the volume of work is challenging enough that I feel I am making progress, but not to the point that I am overwhelmed. Also, even though I am just beginning and the pieces are not that complex, she explains the musical interpretation in a way that not only helps me advance my skill but also enriches the way I understand and listen to music, and I find great value in that. Her manner of teaching is very organic, and she is a patient teacher with a warm presence. I wholeheartedly recommend her lessons! ”

“ Mary has been great in our interactions. At the moment, we are meeting twice a week for an hour each session. She started with a class in which we got to know each other and she listen to my goals. Then, she prepared exercises and lessons specially designed to help me reach those goals with practice and also prepared lessons to help me continue growing as a guitar player. Moreover, she goes often out of her way to get songs challenging to my level, but that are doable with enough practice. In all, I am enjoying quite a lot of our classes and I am always looking forward to them. ”

“ My son just had his first piano lesson with Joel and he loved it. When the hour was finished my son felt a bit disappointed as he wanted to continue and said the class had gone by super fast. After Joel left our house my son told me he would really like to continue taking lessons with him as he felt he learned a lot and had a lot of fun. I personally liked Joel’s communication and professionalism when scheduling the class, and the planning of the curriculum going forward. I think my son will learn a lot from his classes with him. ”
