Wai Sze - Leuven$46
Trusted teacher: Hi! I'm Wai Sze. I’m from Hong Kong, and my mother tongues are Cantonese and Mandarin. I have experience teaching Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin) as a second language as well as other school subjects taught in Chinese to non-native speakers in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Belgium. I have worked with learners of all backgrounds—from complete beginners to fluent speakers of one Chinese language who want to learn another, including university students majoring in Chinese. My Teaching Philosophy I believe that learning a language should be engaging, immersive, and enjoyable! In my classes, you won’t just learn the language—you’ll also gain a deeper understanding of Chinese, Taiwanese, and Hong Kong culture, traditions, and customs. How We Can Learn Together: This course is 100% personalized to match your learning style and goals. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced learner, I will create custom learning materials tailored just for you—no generic textbooks! ✔️ Speaking & Listening: Learn natural conversations for everyday use. ✔️ Reading & (Optional) Writing: You’ll be gradually introduced to Chinese characters without feeling overwhelmed. ✔️ Cultural Learning: Explore traditions, festivals, and real-life Chinese customs. Looking for a fun and practical way to learn Chinese? Here are some unique learning experiences I offer: - Real-life Learning: We can visit a Chinese supermarket together to learn food names, cultural insights, and even how to cook Chinese dishes! - Speaking Practice: My lessons are highly interactive—you’ll be speaking a lot and asking plenty of questions! 🎯 Who is this course for? ✅ Complete beginners with no prior Chinese experience. ✅ Students who want a fully customized learning experience. ✅ Anyone curious about different Chinese culture, traditions, and daily life ✅ Learners who aren’t sure whether to start with Mandarin or Cantonese—you can explore both! Why Learn with Me? Chinese isn’t as difficult as you might think—with the right approach, it can be both fun and rewarding! Join me, and let’s make learning Chinese an exciting journey.

Trusted teacher: A native of Rio de Janeiro, Felipe Olivé began his piano studies under the guidance of Professor Marcilda Clis. Upon entering UNIRIO, he started taking lessons with the pianist and composer Claudio Dauelsberg. He holds a degree in piano from the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe in Germany, where he was a student of Professor Kaya Han. He spent 2 years in Portugal, where he taught at the Academia de Música de Almada. He also received guidance from Professor and pianist Manuel Araújo of the Academia Internacional de Música Aquilles Delle Vigne in Coimbra. Currently, he is pursuing a Master's degree in Piano Performance at LUCA School of Arts in Belgium, with the renowned pianist Sylvia Thereza as his teacher. He has been awarded in national and international competitions, such as the VII Sardoal Young Talent Award (2nd Prize - ex-aequo in the Piano Solo category; 2nd Prize and Best Portuguese Duo in the Piano Duo category), the Prof. Dichler-Competition 2022 in Vienna (2nd Prize - ex aequo in the Piano Duo category), the I National Piano Competition of the Villa-Lobos Music School (Honorable Mention) in Rio de Janeiro, and the XXVI Souza Lima Piano Competition (Honorable Mention) in São Paulo. His classes are intended for anyone who wants to start learning music theory and piano or those who already have basic or advanced knowledge. From Classical to Popular music, his teaching method adapts to the goals and individual desires of the student. During the classes, music theory is taught either concurrently or separately from practice, and the repertoire to be played is chosen collaboratively with the student. Felipe has years of experience as a concert pianist and teacher in academies and music schools. He seeks the most suitable approach for each student, respecting their learning pace, helping overcome difficulties, and exploring their strengths, always encouraging progress.

Japanese language classes taught in a fun and professional way. (Leuven)

Anne is a teacher that prepares her lessons in advance. You get a lot of attention as a student and I really felt welcomed from the first minute. Anne is very clear in her communication and organisation (and this also encompasses how she guides you towards the first lesson, making sure all is clear). It is clear that she has a profound knowledge of the Japanese language as well as the didactical methods to teach it. What I appreciated was her openness and the fact that you can shape the lessons to make them fit with your personal goals you have for studying Japanese, whatever they might be. I definitely recommend working with Anne!

Daniele

My 15 year old son has really enjoyed his lessons with Daniele. Too early to tell whether he’ll continue long term, but Daniele has put him at his ease, encouraged him and generally created everything possible for a non-threatening entry into the musical world. Fully recommend Daniele as a bass guitar teacher.
