I teach piano and keyboard skills with a friendly and encouraging approach. My students learn technical exercises and pieces/songs carefully chosen to suit each individual and I also incorporate relevant music theory. I teach on an upright acoustic piano at my place in Wedding and in some cases travel to the student for lessons.

Want to take learn piano but not keen on the classical music part? No worries! I offer piano lessons focusing on popular music styles that will help you build your confidence and have you performing in front of others in no time. This is perfect for teenagers or adults who want to learn but aren't interested in learning classical pieces. I only offer 1 / 1,5 / 2-hour sessions to give us plenty of time to work on the techniques, and, ideally, play a whole song during a single session.

I am happy to offer flute and piccolo lessons! Discover the infinite world of sound colors and art by playing an instrument just with the help of your own breath and imagination:) It will be a lot of fun yet concentration and dedication are needed to make the progress. The hours are designed according to your musical interests. Since each person has his or her own individual approach to music, it is logical and, in my experience, more effective to work with this in a specific way. So, instead of a rigid curriculum in which you lose interest in a short time, I would like to support you in achieving your personal plans and discovering musical possibilities! Depending on your interests, motivation, previous knowledge and musical taste, the following focal points are coordinated: Technique (tone formation, breathing, approach, intonation, finger technique, etc.), ear training, sense of rhythm, improvisation, note reading, music theory. Playing music and expressing yourself through an instrument is something that everyone can do! I believe in music being an inclusive and attainable skill no matter your experience. I have a passion for both teaching and playing the bassoon and flute, and believe in creating a positive and exciting environment for students. I have 10+ years experience as a flute and bassoon tutor across multiple schools in Sydney and London, and have recently moved to Berlin. I am able to teach in English only. I work as a freelance bassoonist in London and Berlin, and have worked with major orchestras such as the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Berlin Philharmonic Karajan Akademie and the Orchestral of the Royal Opera House, London. I graduated with a Master’s degree from Guildhall School of music and drama, London. My teaching experience is extensive. I have taught students between the ages of 3-30. I have worked 1:1 with students, and have had lots of experience with groups of up to 40 students across many instruments. I have put many students through practical musical exams and highly encourage them if desired. My students have a 100% success rate in their exams. As I am currently a performer, teacher and student myself, I am very aware of the balance between hard work and having fun. I believe the best way to create a successful musical journey is through a positive and encouraging environment, where students can develop their skills and take risks without fear! I also take highly into account the individuality of students and their desires, so make sure to adjust my approach as suited. Do you want to produce your own music but struggle with the technical aspects? I'm a multi-instrumentalist singer, songwriter and performer and I offer applied classes on writing/arranging/producing pieces of music using various instruments of your choice, including your computer. I use a 'learning by creating' method, where we focus and go deeper on certain aspects depending on your needs on your music creation process. I like to use personalised methods that matches your desires, rather than following a certain curriculum. The goal is to help you gain or improve awareness on how a piece of music is written and learn various ways to begin and finalise a writing process. During our practices, I will naturally be transferring my knowledge on certain aspects such as: - Rhythm - Form - Dynamics - Texture - Melody making - Singing - Guitar playing - Placing words into music/making music around words - Improvisation as a compositional tool - Integration of Ableton Live into creative process - Recording - Mixing During the sessions, we'll either write together from scratch or work on your own material and tackle the issues of constructing a piece of music. Hi my name is Anne. I play the violin and the viola and I have studied at the conservatory at ArtEZ Jazz & Pop. During my studies I started to build by violin teacher practice. Apart from my private students I taught at the music school "Muziekdorp" in Wijchen and coached a band of high school students for a year. Next to teaching I play concerts with the "Metropole Academy", I have a string quartet "The Four Frogs in te Woods", and I'm playing in a Folk string duo. Students of all ages and categories are welcome in my lesson. Classical, Folk, Rock, Pop, Jazz, and free improvisation are some of the genres you can discover in our lessons. I did a Teacher Training with the American Violinist Mark O'Connor and finished this training with a diploma. His method is a very beautiful and comprehensive way to learn the variety of the violinistic possibilities. We will play a lot of music together. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth.
