English is a language which is growing in In importance and is widely accepted as a key skill to have. As well as this, learning a new language can be one of the most fun activities you can do and I would be really happy to help you with this! My name is Louis and I am a 19 year old student at Leiden University at the campus in The Hague. I am a native English speaker and before The Netherlands, I have lived in the UK for 17+ years; all of my school education has been in the British school system. I have designed my classes with the aim to build the basic skills required to hold conversations and to succeed in an English speaking environment. I also aim to provide the ground skills to progress to higher levels of communication later on (for example the rules surrounding tenses and other grammatical rules). The classes can be done for individual tutoring of small group sessions (less than 5) I hope for my lessons to be fun, informative and practical.

I love simplifying math for my students. I teach Math for both primary and secondary school. I also love to teach English and French as I am native in the first and fluent in the other. My goal is to create a fun environment and prevent learning from being a burden. I will provide assistance along the way and keep track of my students progress.

I have been teaching Mathematics and English at all levels for more than 3 years. I have taught students with learning disabilities as well as students who are excelling in their studies making me well equipped to teach all kinds of students. I have experience as a math substitute at a secondary school (children aged 13-16) and therefore prefer to make a lot of mock exams and exercises myself. I like to keep parents as involved as possible and provide progress meetings outside of lessons. My name is Dylan and I am a Masters student at Leiden University, studying Astronomy and Cosmology. I received my baccalaureate degree (B.Sc in Physics with Astronomy) from Dublin City University, Ireland, in 2015. I graduated with the highest marks in the class, due not only to my study and hard work, but also my exam technique. Therefore, in our lessons we will not only discuss the topics of the subject but also the exams associated with the subject. Being comfortable with the layout of the exam and the types of questions asked/language used is of huge benefit to our confidence, and therefore performance, in the exam. To that extent, I offer to travel to a location of the students choosing for the lessons; the idea being that the student should feel more comfortable/confident in familiar surroundings and that a relaxed mind is conducive to learning. I was raised in Saint Petersburg, the "cultural capital" of Russia where I took part and won many championships in Russian Language proficiency. I specialize in tutoring Mathematics and English for school and the SAT, GED exams. My goal is to help students understand the basics and work around problem areas they have in Mathematics. By teaching the meaning behind formula's and reasons for methods up until the correct solution is given. I find it is important to grasp an understanding and improve the learners understanding of the material. Working with numbers is very easy for me, as I have a distinction in mathematics on my High-School certificate and have passed university level mathematics. This will help me to explain why each process has to be done in solving any question/problem. In my English lessons, I teach proper grammar balanced with vocabulary. Teaching the importance of the different sounds in the English language to help with reading and writing skills. Once these are obtained then the next step is teaching how to hold conversation in English. I have graduated from the French school system in the scientific section with a speciality in physics. I also obtained my International Option Baccalaureate (OIB). I offer lessons (1-to-1 or 1-to-n) for Math and Physics in either English, Mandarin or Cantonese. I have teaching experience in Hong Kong. My goal is to teach younger children/students the correct way of the English language. I have had precious experience with tutoring while I lived in Germany. During my time in tutoring,I learnt that children tend to learn faster and easier when enjoying a lesson. I therefore try to keep my lessons fun and exciting but of course, effective. My lessons included tasks like word puzzles, role play, quizzes etc. I provide worksheets, but I am open to helping out with homework they received from school or anything they are having problems with. At the end of every few lessons, I like to give a small exam on what was learnt the past few hours. Just to see what can be improved or What has already become a plus.
