Mathematics and English Tutoring (Including test prep)

I offer personal guidance when practicing for the teacher training arithmetic test. I have been providing tutoring and teaching in various subjects and subjects to students of all ages for years. I myself have just obtained my bachelor's degree in linguistics at the University of Amsterdam. In VWO I followed a science & technology profile, which also taught me a lot about mathematics. I have also immersed myself in what the subjects of the teacher training college maths test are, so that I can help with the different types of assignments.

To live and reside in the Netherlands a certain level of Dutch is not only handy but also necessary if you want to have a job. As part of the process to become a Dutch national, you need a basic level of Dutch, being A1 to B2. I am a certified Dutch teacher with 6 years of teaching experience. Besides teaching Dutch to Dutch high -school pupils in the years 1- 4 mavo/ havo/ vwo, I also have extensive experience teaching Dutch to expats/ foreigners. I am therefore familiar with the “inburgeringsexamen” and the NT2 curriculum (Dutch for foreigners) for those who want to reside in the Netherlands. I am very knowledgeable and teach with passion, creativity and enthousiasm. I love the Dutch language and teaching it to others, as well as interacting with all types of cultures and age ranges.

Beta courses are important and are often also a requirement for (bio) medical and pharmaceutical courses. Gaining knowledge of beta subjects should not only be in the area of passing my exam, but in understanding the concept and being able to apply it in practice, which will help a student in the future. My name is Dylan and I am a Masters student at Leiden University, studying Astronomy and Cosmology. I received my baccalaureate degree (B.Sc in Physics with Astronomy) from Dublin City University, Ireland, in 2015. I graduated with the highest marks in the class, due not only to my study and hard work, but also my exam technique. My goal is to teach younger children/students the correct way of the English language. I have had precious experience with tutoring while I lived in Germany. During my time in tutoring,I learnt that children tend to learn faster and easier when enjoying a lesson. I therefore try to keep my lessons fun and exciting but of course, effective. My lessons included tasks like word puzzles, role play, quizzes etc. I provide worksheets, but I am open to helping out with homework they received from school or anything they are having problems with. At the end of every few lessons, I like to give a small exam on what was learnt the past few hours. Just to see what can be improved or What has already become a plus.

Working with numbers is very easy for me, as I have a distinction in mathematics on my High-School certificate and have passed university level mathematics.
