High school Mathematics and English tutoring lessons

English is a language which is growing in In importance and is widely accepted as a key skill to have. As well as this, learning a new language can be one of the most fun activities you can do and I would be really happy to help you with this! My name is Louis and I am a 19 year old student at Leiden University at the campus in The Hague. I am a native English speaker and before The Netherlands, I have lived in the UK for 17+ years; all of my school education has been in the British school system. I have designed my classes with the aim to build the basic skills required to hold conversations and to succeed in an English speaking environment. I also aim to provide the ground skills to progress to higher levels of communication later on (for example the rules surrounding tenses and other grammatical rules). The classes can be done for individual tutoring of small group sessions (less than 5) I hope for my lessons to be fun, informative and practical.

I love simplifying math for my students. I teach Math for both primary and secondary school. I also love to teach English and French as I am native in the first and fluent in the other. My goal is to create a fun environment and prevent learning from being a burden. I will provide assistance along the way and keep track of my students progress.

I have been teaching Mathematics and English at all levels for more than 3 years. I have taught students with learning disabilities as well as students who are excelling in their studies making me well equipped to teach all kinds of students. I have experience as a math substitute at a secondary school (children aged 13-16) and therefore prefer to make a lot of mock exams and exercises myself. My name is Ani, I am doing my third year of International Business in THUAS. Russian is my native and favourite language. I was raised in Saint Petersburg, the "cultural capital" of Russia where I took part and won many championships in Russian Language proficiency. My name is Dylan and I am a Masters student at Leiden University, studying Astronomy and Cosmology. I received my baccalaureate degree (B.Sc in Physics with Astronomy) from Dublin City University, Ireland, in 2015. I graduated with the highest marks in the class, due not only to my study and hard work, but also my exam technique. Therefore, in our lessons we will not only discuss the topics of the subject but also the exams associated with the subject. Being comfortable with the layout of the exam and the types of questions asked/language used is of huge benefit to our confidence, and therefore performance, in the exam. To that extent, I offer to travel to a location of the students choosing for the lessons; the idea being that the student should feel more comfortable/confident in familiar surroundings and that a relaxed mind is conducive to learning.
