Lydia - Antwerp$55
Trusted teacher: I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons to students of all levels. As a pianist with 14 years of teaching experience and over 23 years of playing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the course of learning piano. If the student is interested in a more serious approach, I can also guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) exams. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions and for various competitions. Recently, my students have achieved the highest marks in the ABRSM exams as well as prizes in competitions. We also have a class concert for interested students twice per year. I am happy working in both a relaxed and serious approach, we simply need to discuss the objectives of the student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music." Prior to this, I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota and TCU-Fort Worth, TX, USA. My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist in orchestra (also as a harpist), and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio and look forward to meeting new students.

Aurélie - Madrid$29
Trusted teacher: CLASSES IN SPANISH, CATALAN, FRANÇAIS, DEUTSCH, ENGLISH SPANISH (DÉSCPRIPTION FRANÇAISE EN BAS): I offer piano classes, awareness/introduction to music and music theory. I live in Madrid and I am a student of a Higher Degree in Singing (Jazz and Modern Music). I dedicate a good part of my time to teaching (musical and linguistic) in the format of private classes online or at home. I started giving private classes at home to children when I lived in Germany. During the 22-23 academic year I gave piano classes to students of all ages at the RedMusik Music School (Igualada, Catalonia). I studied the piano and other instruments for more than 15 years at the UGDA and at the Luxembourg City Conservatory of Music. After many years of music theory and piano I obtained the „Première Mention“ certificate from the Conservatory, with the qualification "Très Bien". A good music class should include not only reading scores, but also theoretical and harmonic study, improvisation, recreational play with the instrument, listening and rhythmic exercises. I am interested in designing the class in a creative way and adapted to the needs and desires of the student. I hope to transmit encouragement, joy and curiosity about the study of music! See you soon! Aurélie FRANÇAIS: I propose the piano courses, d'éveil/initiation à la musique et de solfège. I visited Madrid and my student at Licence Supérieure de Chant (Jazz et Musique Moderne). Je consacre une bonne partie de mon temps à l'enseignement (musical et linguistique) sous form de cours particuliers en ligne ou à domicile. J'ai began at the end of the cours particuliers at home of the children who live in Germany. Au cours de l'année académique 22-23, j'ai donné des cours de piano à des elèves de tous âges à l'école de musique RedMusik (Igualada, Catalogne). I studied the piano and other instruments pendant over 15 years at the UGDA and at the Conservatoire de Musique de la Ville de Luxembourg. After several years of piano and solfège announcements, I obtained the „Première Mention“ certificate from the Conservatoire, with the mention "Très Bien". Un bon cours de musique devrait includes non-seulement la lecture de partitions, but also l'étude théorique et harmonique, l'improvisation, le jeu récréatif avec l'instrument, les exercices d'audition et de rythmes. I am interested in conceiving the class of creative manière and adapting to kisses and messages from the person. J'espère pouvoir transmettre du courage, de la joie et de la curiosité pour l'étude de la musique! À bientôt! Aurélie

Todor - Luxembourg$65
Trusted teacher: Hello! I offer private classical piano lessons for all ages. I have experience for more than 4 years with students who are beginners and advanced piano players. I was a teacher for the Young Talent Class at Conservatorium Maastricht 2021-2022. I graduated from Conservatorium Maastricht in 2022, where I had the opportunity to study with Maestro Igor Roma, and Maestro Jeroen Riemsdijk. Throughout my studies I also gained a comprehensive knowledge of music theory, harmony, counterpoint, ear-training, musical forms and music history. I have extensive competition and performance experience with a varied repertoire, from Baroque to Neo-Classical period. I can help you prepare for an upcoming competition, recital or entrance exam. My teaching methods are adaptive to the student's specific needs, so that we can work on improving them. We will work on improving sight-reading, memorisation and basic improvisation. I work with my students to develop their sense of musical phrasing, engage my students in discussions about the music we are playing and more importantly the composer's intent. For specific piano techniques we can work on finger strength, arm-weight, precise control in dynamics and articulation, clarity in fast playing, releasing tension from the body. In addition to my Bachelors Degree, I have a minor in Pedagogical methods and skills, and have obtained a Teaching Certificate from Conservatorium Maastricht. Currently I am available in a studio in Luxembourg City, and at the student's location, in and around Luxembourg City.

Christina - Keswick$45
Trusted teacher: Recently many of my students in HK switched to online due to the pandemic wave here. The online classes work very well. I can use multi-media to share screens and make the instruction clear. As a result, I plan to offer a new category of online piano and music theory classes. About the teacher: First, Professional. Holding a Master in Music post-graduate degree, the teacher has been teaching piano lessons professionally for 17 years. She has a solid theoretical foundation in music teaching, composition, and piano performance. Second, a kind attitude with patience, as well as a proper method for different levels of students. She has taught students who easily pass ABRSM grade 8. She also possesses excellent patience with young kids under the age of six. During the last ten years, her goal has been to solve an important issue: how to make students interested in piano playing. Most kids who learn the piano would give up before or during their teenage time. However, 99% of them regret it when they grow up. In Christina's lesson, she will acknowledge to the students and parents clearly what difficulties they will face during the process of music learning. It's more important that students learn to develop a good habit, a worthwhile hobby, and the perseverance that will benefit their whole life. About the class: Different students may require different class lengths. For a child under the age of six, the teacher recommends less time for each class but a higher frequency. Kids who took the piano class twice a week and half an hour each class usually progress faster than those who took it once a week. For kids who practice longer time, it is also advised to take the course longer time. A child who practices two hours a day could play Beethoven's Fur Elise within one year, but for a child who practices less than half an hour per day, this goal usually takes more than four years to practice. For adults who have greater self-control, it is advised to take the class for a longer time per class but with less frequency.

Gulnara - Leiden$63
Trusted teacher: About myself From the age of six I followed piano education. I studied classical piano at the Conservatory of St. Petersburg and then classical singing at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. Along with my singing career I accompany various choirs and singers. I have many years of experience in teaching piano to both children and adults, for beginners and advanced players. How do I teach piano During class my students get the basics of piano technique, music theory and an introduction to different music styles. I pay a lot of attention to attitude, musicality and interpretation. By learning a good technique you automatically get inspiration and pleasure to play the most beautiful piano pieces. You learn to develop your own musical taste. During the lesson we play duos together for fun, but also to learn to make music with someone. Lesson for children I introduce starting children from 6 years old to the piano by playing and singing at the same time. Then we quickly switch to piano books such as the Thompson method. You learn to read notes, rhythms, correct piano touch and posture so that you can quickly play your favorite piece of music. Do you want to apply for admission to the conservatory or do you want to play in a band? I can help you prepare for auditions. Lesson for adults Advanced children and adults follow an individual program depending on personal wishes and level. The pleasure and happiness of making music are central. House concerts During the festive house concerts you will have the opportunity to play for others and hear different music from other students. Info Lessons take place at my home in Leiden. Lessons can also be given at your home in consultation. I teach in Dutch or English.

Yulia
I started to take classes with Yulia, because my voice has become rusty after not singing for many-many years. I sought her expert advice to know whether there was still hope for me to join a choir. After 3 sessions with her I can say that I really appreciate her professionalism, her gentle approach, her honesty and her encouragement. I am glad that I found her!
