My name is Jordi L. Jové, classical pianist and I offer piano lessons for beginners, intermediate and advanced students, in English or Spanish. I believe that anyone can learn music and piano in different stages of life with different goals and that this requires a commited, passionate, adaptable and akwnoledged teacher. In my years of education, since I began playing the piano, and later followed the professional path; I’ve seen and encountered uncountable situations being both student and teacher that made me highly value the teacher’s role and aimed to incorporate it in my career development. My previous experiences in the field include regular private teaching, individual and in music academies during two-three years in Barcelona to students either kids, teenagers or adults (presential and online). I have also prepared music entrance examinations to public schools and conservatòries in Catalonia, covering piano lessons and music theory lessons. The added values that I can bring are experience in reinforcement teaching in high school subjects, coaching solo musicians when accompanying them and accompanying and leading choirs. I have the skills of good communication, commitement, patience and adaptability which I think they make me a good candidate for the job. Moreover I can communicate in German and French too, in case needed. Usually, I am refered as a passionate hard-working, curious and dedicated musician, which makes me suitable and versatile in many different situations. Looking very forward to hearing from you,

Trusted teacher: Everybody can take entry level lessons about the keyboard (synthesizer, melodica, xylophone), the recorder, songs & rhymes. Entry level lessons teach about rhythm, melody, harmony, duo play, replay, music listening and ear training, music notation and sight-reading. Learning depends on your life experience and abilities. You can learn some days, some others may develop skills some years. Leaners can continue studies in a music school or studio. Musical literacy is the reading, writing, and playing of music, as well an understanding of cultural practice and historical and social contexts. I've performed on & off since kindergarten through my adult life and today it is manly a minority hobby. Mostly teaching a few simple songs, instruments, poems, acting and dance for children on a weekly bases. When children learn to sing along or dance something they did not know before I considered my activity as the real one, because teaching is the feelings, skills and knowledge what you transform to others. I long ago developed a very practiced smile, and I do not know if music is really joyful or not. I also have completed a short music therapy course and not all people are in need some music for healing. All self-expression activities should be free choice of human life. Some others may find therapeutic activity to play football. Educators should know also psychology and lessons design, and finally evaluate teaching outcome. I appreciate British and American cultural achievements and creative industries. UK syllabus of popular music is studied globally (9 levels) and leaners can take part of it to obtain a qualification from London, UK. You can concentrate on the requirements of notation accuracy, values, evenness of sound, tone quality/ consistency, technical control and sync and improvisation and ensemble replay and sight-reading and the featured repertoire in modern music industries and audience.

Trusted teacher: Hi students and music lovers ! Piano is a fun and rewarding way to explore music for people of all ages, whether you've played music before or not, and is one of the most accessible instruments right from the first lesson! I teach with a variety of pop-transcriptions and easy Classical pieces, simple improvisation and harmony exercises, and am comfortable adapting to each pupils own way of learning. If you're new to piano, or have played before and want to rekindle your love of music, get in touch to arrange a first lesson! I will book us a room with a grand piano at the Academy. I graduated Master’s cum laude in Piano Performance at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre studying with prof. Peep Lassmann, who was himself a student of the great Russian pianist Emil Gilels. I have 12 years' private teaching experience, and was employed by Märjamaa Music and Art School as a 1:1 piano teacher in 2018-19. I also have a BMus (Hons) degree from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and DipABRSM, the standard professional teaching qualification in the UK. Reviews from current students: "Jamie is an amazing teacher. I had no knowledge of piano before him and was worried in general of being able to learn. His way of explaining, patience and incredible passion for music gave me the push to try and are reinforcing my motivation to learn more day-by-day. Our classes are alive, fun, and so much like a continuous journey through all the aspects of piano music." - Angelyk "Jamie makes this comfortable atmosphere, you'll never be afraid to make a mistake. I learned a song already in my second/third lesson. 🙂 " - Taimi
