I have lived 9 years of my life outside of Hungary out of which 4 years were in China and 5 years were in Canada. I got to experience what it is like to move from one culture to another and also had the opportunity to experience different educational systems. Hungarian is my native language but I learned to read and write in English sooner than in Hungarian. My entire life I have enjoyed working with people and since the beginning of my adult years that passion has taken form in teaching. I have 9 years of teaching experience at every level and almost every age starting from early elementary school to the elderly. I have taught and am teaching staff and management of multiple companies in Budapest, however I did teach English in a Hungarian elementary school for 2 years as well. Currently, next to the cooperation with companies I greatly enjoy having private lessons with students from all walks of life. I offer classes which are specifically designed for the needs of each student. This can mean that we work on how to have meaningful conversations at a workplace or simply to catch up with basic English for school. If you have some trouble reading this text we can work on your grammar or vocabulary too! Our goal will be to meet your needs! If you would like to study with a few friends we can make that happen too! Location and Time: Classes can be held online, in person at your place or in a coffee shop wich suits us both. My hours of availability varries since my schedule follows the schedule of the current students. The easiest is if we get in touch and discuss the hours of availability! Trusted teacher: I received a bachelor’s degree University College London, a master’s degree at the London School of Economics and a PhD in international relations at London Metropolitan University. I have taught at high school, undergraduate and post-graduate levels: in high schools and universities in the United States, as well as in universities in the United Kingdom and Hungary. I have guided many students through their GCSE, IB and Oxbridge exams. I have also helped prepare students taking standardized tests such as the ISEE, SHSAT, ACT, SAT, GRE, GMAT and LSAT. I have taught classes and tutored students in fields as diverse as history, political science, international relations, law, mathematics and English language. I enjoy teaching, and his students have consistently recorded great improvements in their test scores following classes with him. He has taught online as well as in-person, large classes as well as students one-on-one. My favorite curriculum to teach is the IB, precisely because it emphasizes the interdisciplinary academic approach that he has always followed. Among the IB subjects I teaches are Mathematics and Economics. I also teach Theory of Knowledge and guide students over the Extended Essay. My approach to education is as follows: “Education is a passion of mine. It is particularly pleasing when this transmission leads to an enormous improvement in the life of another. That a student has succeeded in passing a test and, as a result, has been admitted to a school or university or even business school or law school that he or she had only vaguely dreamed of is immensely gratifying. “I enjoy inspiring students to learn more, to want to know more, to strive for more. Because my concern is exclusively an improvement in their lives, my students have always responded well to me. As a consequence, from the moment they begin studying with me their results and test scores start to improve dramatically. My teaching is always focused on the student's individual needs and his particular aptitudes. Awni is a wonderful instructor! He is very patient, will answer any question you can think of, and can have a laugh with you during lessons as well! His lessons are very helpful and structured, he is willing to go at your pace and repeat or go over things as many times as needed. She is very patient and has an incredibly approachable character. Always makes sure that I understand the materials & has a reviews at the beginning of a new class. I also appreciate very much that she is punctual and focused during the lesson.
